Both. I often end up with coffee ☕ when in office. Tea is fantastic when I am having it with breakfast or sometime after lunch. Like Mustafa, I have experienced that after six pm, I never take either to have a good sleep.

I died inside when he said that 😂 but somehow I can relate the logic behind it. In our village, the host where a funeral is held have to serve many visitors so they make the tea super light with little amount of tea leaves and sugar to cut cost, it almost tastes like water

@@myahoff Sugar is not just balancing the bitterness, but also brings the taste out. Giving them coffee without any sugar makes even less sense than preparing a meal without adding any salt and spices.

@David M, I was thinking in those lines too from their remarks. The teas seemed extremely weak, while the coffees seemed to be a decent strength. Some of the teas obviously were made using sweetened concentrated milk, while coffees were not. We know that what they call "barely sweet" is already called extremely sweet in the Western World. Although used to tea for much longer than coffee myself, I need hardly any sugar in coffee for it to feel sweetened, while I could put a lot of sugar in tea, and would still find it bitter. For them to experience tea as sweet and coffee as sheer bitterness, they must have had overly sweetened very mild tea and unsweetened coffee.

Mama Mustafa probably said that because diabetics eat "bitter melon" which is called karela in India and Pakistan. If not cooked properly it's very bitter indeed but with a skilled cook it's palatable and the dried karela snack chips are pretty good.

There is no "better" when it comes to coffee. Coffee flavor itself is nasty. You can argue otherwise as a connoisseur of certain beans or blends, but coffee is an acquired taste. Why someone would ever WANT to acquire a taste for it is beyond me. The only reason I can think of is that it is a ready source of caffeine, and some just have to have it to function.

But I should have been kinder in my YT comment, because people's tastes differ. I've been out many times with others who order coffee, but I don't criticize them personally for enjoying what they prefer, nor do I make a face or fuss at the smell of their coffee. I can tell, though, by the aroma as it is poured if it's what others would rate as a really good cup of coffee, and sometimes say -- BEFORE they taste it -- that they'll really like it. Then they taste it... and they confirm what I predicted. But whether a cup of coffee, in the judgment of a lover of fine coffee, is "Really Good," "Yesterday's Mud," or something in between... it will never be my cup of tea. My palate simply does not take pleasure in any form of the brew or the flavor, and I don't wish to try to acclimate myself to a coffee habit. At least that leaves more coffee for those who love it.

I think because they eat so much less sugar than I do, their taste buds are more sensitive to sweetness than mine. Here in America, so much food is either over-sweetened or just the opposite: left extremely bitter on purpose. We are not a subtle nation, LOL.

I drink coffee black or with a tiny bit of sugar, but I fully agree with you that this isn't done right on those videos, as they serve the sweetened mild tea but unsweetened strong coffee.

It's actually the opposite for me I drink coffee because I like the taste of it, of course with sugar and coffee mate also. I've never felt the effects of the caffeine I actually drink coffee before I go to bed to have something warm and I always fall asleep asap.

The other version is that the shepherd collected the fresh beans, ate them and after being energized brought the beans to a monk. The monk was affraid by the effect and threw the beans in the fire. But, they were stunned by the aroma, collected the baked beans. There is also another version which says that coffee was discovered in Yemen, but I’m not sure about it.

But you never know what taste they are calling burnt.. in Pakistan most people specially old folks.are used to tea and can't handle bitterness of coffee may be thats what they're referring to.

Coffee is pretty expensive here and it's well made for sure. Most find it bitter in taste since they are so used to tea. We often have tea 3 to 4 times a day, minimum.

In Pakistan nescafe coffee is used and it is not low quality some people can't handle the bitterness of coffee that's the only reason

@@hamza.r286 I don't mean to sound elitist but Nescafe is terrible and bitter. You need to add lots of milk and sugar to make it drinkable. You can't use it to make a normal cup of coffee. We only use it for coffee flavored drinks. A good coffee isn't very bitter even when black. My parents grew up in India and happily drink unsweetened coffee when it's prepared properly. They'd always complain about coffee being too bitter before.

I've been to China and the coffe their is so bad, I think Pakistan is the same since their is no demand for coffe over their as well. In contrary, I've been to U.S and all commercial tea are awful over their.
