Yeah, he's a semi-cautious eater (especially after the nuclear-level sour candies debacle; heh!), but when he likes it, he likes it, "pensive face" aside. ;) He's great! Would love to cook some of my homemade chili for him someday. I think he'd really enjoy it!

I love how in the last cook-off half the comments said "don't tell them who made it to prevent bias" yet when they did that this time they could still tell whose dish they were eating. Just goes to show how tight-knit these people are and how they can tell the different tribal cooking styles apart.

One thing that struck me with the last cook off is that, Tahir cook foods for poor people every thursday. And now, we now know the mustache man cook for patients. This people are really really good and kind people.

It still was a better idea than to tell them straight off whose it was. And only 2 of them guessed whose dishes they eating were so you can't really say that they could tell whose they were eating.

@@SuperSPatrick Rana could identify all three. Tahir could identify all three. Chaudhary could tell Gull Sher's, so I'm sure he knew who the other two were made by. Just because it's not shown on the video doesn't mean they didn't know. I expect they've been guests of each others hospitality enough times without having to say as much. I suspect Gull Sher probably knew whose he was eating too but just didn't say out of politeness, he just comes across as that type of guy but is a little more formal that the others in some respects.

Raffique is so respectful and kind when it's food prepared by his friends. Everything is perfectly made, even if he only gives it 5/10. I'm sure he deserved to win; he is probably an excellent cook.

@@Peatingtune It is still not perfect if you give it a five, far from it... it might be a cultural difference, but from my perspective it looks more like being overly competitive and giving a perfect meal a low mark to make sure they don't win. If it's perfect, give it a 9 or a 10. If it isn't, say it tastes good and you like the spices in itl but don't call it perfect.

@@ladiuneeq9789 Have you ever tried to make a cheesecake? It's not that easy, as it requires somewhat specialized equipment and conditions to turn out right. First of all, an oven, which I don't think they'd all have access to. Let alone the right kind of pan, water bath, mixer to have it come out creamy/lump-free...and not to mention expensive and unfamiliar ingredients like cream cheese. Did you know there's been a cream cheese shortage recently? Even Junior's in Brooklyn, NY, had to curtail their output, and cheesecake is their signature product!

@@patriciamorgan6545 Yes, I have made cheesecake and it is not difficult. I don't live in Brooklyn, NY and we don't have a shortage of cream cheese here. 🙄 This channel is making decent money. If they don't have an oven I'm sure they can afford one. They just renovated Raffique's home. It isn't a big deal for them to get a springform pan (which ain't all that "specialized" to begin with). And I highly doubt cream cheese is that hard to find since they have already tried cheesecake which was purchased in their country. Are they that uncivilized that they can't make it creamy and without lumps? I don't know why you think so low of these people that they can't get access to cream cheese, an oven and a pan, but I'm willing to bet you are not a person of color. I can't believe you even typed that. Please get out of your westernized thinking!

@@ladiuneeq9789 Woah, sorry if I offended, it was certainly not my intent. I just haven't seen them talking about any local village foods that are home-baked. Everything homemade seems to be stove top (curries) or something that could cook on coals (roti), and the process/ingredients of making baked goods (any kind of cake) seems not to be common knowledge. Reading between the lines, I inferred that not everyone has access to an oven at home, or if they do (for instance, an outdoor clay or brick oven), it is less common to use, or reserved for special occasions, perhaps because of higher fuel cost to keep it going. Even biryani is traditionally cooked on and beneath coals. I was really just considering the logistics of making a cheesecake inside an oven in a water bath when I wrote the earlier comment.

I have had so MUCH fun watching these guys tasting each other's cooking! Their interpretation of dirty rice was quite interesting. I don't know if Dirty rice is an accurate description, my research says it contains liver, i think they are just calling rice with other things added dirty rice, i.e. not just plain white rice.

@CW Moss I’ve made as they have with kidney beans and used taco seasoning, It’s not to bad, you get creative when you are short on groceries, but I’ve had rice with sausage, Turkey, chicken, pork, beef, all manner, onions, egg, peas, corn, lots of different adds, it’s almost always good.

We have a place by work called "Big's Chicken" that makes some pretty good dirty rice. I have it on the regular. Relatively spicy with ground chicken, red chili pepper powder, green onions, etc. Very yum! Seems like everyone got their own version of "dirty rice." But, my understanding is it's basically spicy rice with meat [or spicy meat with rice? :P ] and some other stuff (onion, celery, green peppers, etc.).

Oh my gosh ! I just love all these guys! We should start a go fund me account so these guys can come here to the US and film more episodes “villagers try fishing in the Great Lakes”. “Villagers try Halloween in Salem” “villagers visit small villages in Alaska” Villagers tour New York” Villagers explore the Grand Canyon” “villagers see Marci Gras in The Big Easy” “Villagers explore Taos Artisans” “Villagers visit Mesa Verde” ! This would make a great reality show! They would need some experienced representation so they would be safe.
