Here is our first look at a collaboration between Akatsuki’s Shuuhei Yamaguchi and Too Kyo Games’ Kazutaka Kodaka. The game appears to be a hyper stylized anime baseball game that is not confirmed for any specific platforms yet.
the guy who looks like komaeda also happens to look like rantaro, hair and outfit wise. But also looks so much like nagito oof my heart can't take this
Studio Lerche would suit it better. They already made the Danganronpa series, and other shows like: Assassination classroom, Astra lost in space, Kimi no Tabi reboot (not really a reboot), Radiant, Jibaku Shounen Hanaku-kun, Asobi Asobase. All great animes overall (not genre defining, but good nonetheless).
Plot twist: Tribe Nine takes place in DanganRonpaV3’s “real world” and the world has fallen to chaos now that “Dangan Ronpa” is over. Edit: if I’m right Dangan Ronpa youtubers better fucking promo me
Imagine you're just casually playing and all of a sudden you see shuichi and the others in the background in the crowd looking hella confused. That would be pretty neat
Everyone commenting about the artstyle and the Danganronpa similarity, this is what Kodaka does. It's his style, and this looks to be his project. If I had to guess, that notice that went out a while back from Spike Chunsoft asking for employees who 'loved Danganronpa' was probably related to this in some way.
Oh, slight correction. Kodaka actually left Spike Chunsoft a while back, and TooKyo Games is his company. So, still his baby, but unrelated to Danganronpa.
@@swaggerlevel90001 This is true, but it's his direction. I believe he actually took some heads from Spike Chunsoft (Masafumi Takada at least) to his new studio, including some of the art team he worked with for the DR1-3 series as well as the model designer from UDG, the name of whom I have been trying and failing to remember/find for the half an hour since I read this.
First of all, as a Japanese game, most location would take place in Japan. Deal? That being said, let's ignore other places like Central Park, Botanical Gardens, etc. Now the question becomes why Shibuya of all places in Japan. Amongst all the crowded places in Japan, Shibuya is especially crowded (Makes the perfect excuse to spawn scrubs for you to grind on. TWEWY has Noise for enemies which make sense for example. Or if some alien needs to blend in for conspiracies, a crowd is always easier) . It also has a big open space for "open field war zones" (Shibuya crossing) and tall buildings (for wall running, advertising future games/plot points). All of this together puts Shibuya as a "scenic location" for "fantasy action" (sci fi or otherwise) in modern society. In short. Shibuya is "convenient". Thats pretty much my opinion on the matter.
Well, Shibuya is kinda like Manhattan NYC. If shit goes down, it has to be in an extremely well known prefecture, how else will anyone know or care that it happened?! 😆
*Yeeting the ball at hypersonic speeds, possibly with the assistance of psychic powers* *Rocket Thrusters and motorcycle engines on bats to give them more momentum* *High-grade cybernetic augments/prosthetics needed in order to not die as a catcher* Now this is baseball!
Nah dude, actually u were playing a regular baseball afterall, i mean, we should notice that this is a baseball with some japanese sht, not a regular one.
That was my first thought as soon as I saw it. It's hard to separate this from DR when the main artists primary style is DR. At the very least Chunsoft seems to be on good terms with Tookyo games so, maybe?
Anguis _X def cyberpunk, not steampunk at all. Steampunk often has Victorian fashion, brass pipes, and of course steam powered stuff. Bright colors, futuristic architecture, and crazy tech is all cyberpunk.
@@usmanniaz1000 Then I meant Cyberpunk. I haven't actually played either game, so I was confused. My mind kind of connected the dots without the dots actually being there. Thanks for the correction kind stranger
My favorite thing about this is that I cannot build a frame of reference that helps me predict what the gameplay could possibly be. I know what Baseball looks like, and I know what a brawler game COULD look like, but putting the two together? I cannot wait to see this shit in action
is it wierd that most of the trailer i was thinking "shouldnt the batter be out? They caught the ball before it touched the ground. They even taged the base before he could reach it."
0:08 he looks like rantaro amami *cries in v3 flashbacks* and in the beginning the poster in the background at 0:07 the guy in it kinda looks like nagito EDIT: 1:09 that look in his eyes, and the outfit and the hair...ladies and gnetlemen it's confirmed! The main protag is the RnataroxNagito love child. Either that, or they were both reincarnated into the same person. Either way I am hyped and heartbroken at the same time
So basically we have 3 characters, one looks like mixture of Komaeda and Rantaro, one gives both Mondo's and Leon's vibes and the third one is quite more masculine Chihiro with a robotic glove like Ezreal
Japan: Let's take normal games, and make them FLASHY AS HECK. Example: Card games > Yu-gi-OH. Super soaker > Splatoon. Barbie > Frame Arms Dolls Soccer > Captain Tsubasa/Inazuma Eleven Top > Beyblade Die cast car toys > Crush Gear Pop-up toys > Bakugan Volley > DoA Baseball > This.
@@imraanakollo-arenz1449 those are all normal tho. What I mean with 'flashy as heck' means it would need to have special effects and ability totally not reproducible irl. More example like butt sumo > Keijo
I want so many more games with this artstyle. Never let that Danganronpa vibe die! Curious how this will play out through gameplay. I suspect it's not just gonna be a sports game.
Not used to see Dangan Ronpa art style in this almost smooth animation. DR despair Girls doesn't count, Tribe Nine cinematics looks better animated. But I'm worried if the gameplay would be good, on the other hand the character design and music look and sound amazing.
me looking at the thumbnail: ah, the artstyle seems a bit like danganronpa, no? me clicking the video: no no no thats definitely the dangan art style me reading the description: AH-
@@yungbreezy36 I personally don't like it's colouring styles but it's distinct and stylish so in the end, it's memorable which is what matters. None of that basic shit.
yungbreezy36 Terrible? Really? It looks so unique tho and cool. I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t call that terrible. It is a pretty stylish artstyle.
I dont know what weeby even means because i dont see how this is more "anime" than dystopian baseball where the ball can reach a point where its faster than light. Killing all visuals but the bal and players
I'm getting goosebumps just from watching this. I miss Danganronpa. Maybe it's just me but I don't get just as much hype compared to when a new Danganronpa was released. Man how I wish Kodaka would make another Danganronpa game.
This is actually a really awesome game concept, traversing neon cities on motercycles order to hit the bases. Kind of lame that he got in a Tekken brawl with the pitcher. That dude was standing on home, that's an out.
