This is a compilation of some of my favorite lines and innuendos by Steve Ross on the Joy of Painting. "Caress it. Make love to the canvas." - Bob Ross
+Quentin Lennox well... Bob Ross wasn't always the quiet person he was when the show started... He swore to never yell again after retiring from the army. So maybe he wasn't the greatest dad while in the army.
Yes! I love that pronunciation so much for 'wh' words (which is a pronunciation that dates back to Old English by the way) that I have picked it up myself and now I do it so much out of habit that I don't realise when I'm doing it.
As if his looks aren't enough to woo the ladies, he has painting skills that are out of his world plus he is the son of god damn Bob Ross... I give up, we can't compete with this.
Yep, and most people viewing this vid don't even get the reference. Check out the episode that aired today, October 14, on Create TV. "trees are like people, they have bends and curves".
"You can do anything you want and it's always gonna look nice. Cause you did it. And you're wonderful. You have to believe that" Me: **tries to hold back tears**
+Ryan Slater "You know if your wrist is worn out by the time you get done doing this, you're doing it right...." Now, with that in mind, just listen without the video...
😂 😂 😂 You're so professional in your videos. It caught me by surprise that you'd say something like that. Lmao. Can't believe I found a Dreamcast Guy comment from 2 years ago.
Bob's grandson lives in Long Island (NY). Look up Ross Matthew on facebook. He flips the first and last name to stay off radar. Don't see a resemblance? Go look at Bob's younger photos from his days in the service. www. facebook.com/ photo.php?fbid=10154177336194173&set=pb.679809172.-2207520000.1513976086.&type=3&theater
"Pound it into this brush real good, get tough with it right from the beginning" "Be real rough on it" "It's a really good idea to have a sturdy easel" "Push nice and hard" "You know if your wrist is worn out by the time you're done doing it you've done something right" "Right, sure, tell me more. That made me feel real good inside." "When I say large I mean it." "Smashing it right there" "Gee whiz, it will wear your arm out" "Yeah, just pull it out, that's it" "Well, I just played with it"
Watched the documentary today, Steve we love you so, so much. You are stronger than you will ever know x Bob would be so proud of you! He does for sure, live on in you bud! Things will come to fruition soon, the documentary only raised awareness for such a caring spirit. Bob's painting shows always help me to sleep when my insomnia is in full swing. I owe Bob my life, many times over. Please don't give up on his legacy, all this has to have a happy ending x
"You can do anything you want, and it's always going to look nice. Because you did it, and your wonderful, and I can believe that." This guy is beautiful.
+mid or meepo the twitch.tv staff streamed a marathon of all the episodes of The Joy of Painting, which JUST ended. That's what @DontFeedTheGaben was referring to.
"You can do anything you want. And its always gonna look nice, cause you did it and you're wonderful and you have to believe that." Damn jokes aside that is friggen beautiful
Such amazing guys. I always come here to brighten up my day, I bet he was a good father, you can tell, look how his son turned out, with the same talent and inspiration.
I would love to see Steve talk about his dad or himself, maybe an interview of some sort, but if he wishes to remain out of the spotlight then we have to respect that.
I dont know man...when I first found this video I listened to it like 10 times in a row and I did that purely because of the nice, relaxing mood just listening to it put me in.
I’m so glad somebody got to record this.. I don’t want to click the BOB ROSS RU-vid Channel coz I don’t want to line the pocket of the kowlskis. Thank you for this upload!
best cross references of sex and painting ive heard and here i was trying to show my son some wholesome paint vids.the great bob ross and his son.i remember bob more than his sons but paints good
Damn, the painting gene must have been past on. I remember coming home from elementary school and going to my grandma's until my mom got off work and just as I would walk in the door Bob Ross would come on and me and my grandma and my sister would watch it everyday. I used to get migranes back then especially by the time school was over and watching him was better than taking an asprin. Brings back alot of memories. He was a great guy with a great talent.
Steve , if you see this please know that you have many many fans out here in the world and we would love to see you if you feel comfortable. I would even say I would love to see you write a book about you and your dad it would be terrific. I believe I have seen one of your paintings online oh, it was sort of a patriotic theme , was that yours? I understand you not wanting to be in the Limelight after your father's passing oh, but know that we love you just as well and sweet loved your dad and always will.❤
I went through the same thing. When I was but a young child I can remember getting migranes and I would lay down and watch Bob and the pain went away, a nap usually followed, but not until the Joy of Painting was over.
