With regards to the weather... yes.. thats typical.. we have a saying in Manchester.... "If you can see the hills.. its going to rain... if you cant see the hills, its probably already raining" 😂
Hi Lucas. Yes cloudy weather is normal here in the UK. Great video - I like EasyJet; they’re a pleasure to fly with, clean aircraft and attentive, pleasant cabin crew. X
Last time I was at Manchester, it was the day when Monarch airlines ceased trading. There were around 10 passengers and two police officers in the terminal. So sad to look out over the apron and see around 12 planes parked up at the perimeter fence. Good vid, as always.
I would love to have flown with Monarch... it was just not possible. I hope the ease of traveling restrictions that is now happening will help to boost UK aviation! :)
I enjoyed the whole video. Remarkable things in this video were the great view on the galley inserts in the fresh orange colors, the ambulift at the end, and of course the approaching jet bridge. Impressive, big, expensive piece of equipment.
Haha Thanks for the feedback! It was with a little irony that question... but I also wanted to see what locals can tell me about that. In Spain we have the "common idea" that the weather in the UK is always cloudy and rainy... and I believe it can't be that way all the time hehe Cheers! Enjoy the week! :)
very nice flight review Lucas.Beautiful spotting from Manchester airport and from taxi to the gate at Mallorca.I have flown only once with easyjet from Rome to Athens. It was an ok and cheap flight.see you on the next.Bye
Nice video. I’ll fly soon from Zürich with Swiss -A220- (they changed just some days ago to an a320 😩) In business class. Anyway the aircraft swap was a positive point for the airline Bcz of higher capacity (a320 vs a220) !
Glad that you've enjoyed this Trip Report! I hope you got some nice memories back from your trips while watching this one! :)) I have at least 5-6 more videos to/from Manchester on the channel, if you would be interested on watching some more :)
2:41 i think all british airways in manchester fly to & from london heathrow 9:41-10:04 as some1 living in uk, yes its always cloudy about 80% of the 365 days in my city, its always cloudy☁️ nice👍 vid📹 too
Beautifully filmed. I agree with your comments that there needs to be less restrictions. Flying in a mask is mostly "safety theatre" and something Easyjet and others are volunteering to do, as it is not law. I found out that TSA in USA mask mandate expires on 22 January 2022, unless extended. Hopefully, if it is not extended, Easyjet and others are bold enough to end their requirements. Whichever airline is bold enough to end their requirements on board will see an immediate surge in bookings I think. Travel should be enjoyable.
Glad that you've enjoeyd the video. I don't agree with you on that. The problem was not the masks onboard or inside the airport. The reason why people didn't start travelling seriously to/from the UK until 1-2 months ago were the 3 tests yo had to take (1 before the flight, +2 once you arrived in the UK). Also, on top of that, you had to be vaccinated. Those non-sense 3 tests were the problem.
@@OnBoardHD the tests were definitely a problem and we only booked a new holiday after the recent changes for vaccinated people. Looking forward to going abroad again next year.
Si.
Nice to know you were in the U.K. This has been a very weird year weather wise. All seasons except winter rolled into one. Grass is still growing and there’s no real signs of Autumn yet. Some crops have benefitted and some suffered. Be interesting to see what the winter season brings. Ironic that last year when the pandemic was at its worst and everywhere was in lockdown, we had one of the best summers for some time. Thank you for your video’s throughout corvid. Much appreciated. Keep staying safe and well. All the very best Mick
Yeah! Finally, I recorded like 6-8 videos to/from the UK very recently! It was great to be back flying from Manchester, London, Birmingham... Jet2, TUI UK, Easyjet... ah! It feels great! Videos coming soon to the channel! Enjoy the rest of the week! :))
Very nice vid..It would have been even better if you had flown Jet2's 757 to PMI..maybe next time..So what is it exactly that you would never have imagined?
Yes I was effected by the UK's over the top travel restrictions and the reason why I cancelled my holiday to Gran Canaria for the 2nd time in 2 years, however I wouldn't say that was the only reason as back in July 2021 which was 1 month before I was due to travel to LPA, the canary islands still had night time restrictions where all the bars closed at midnight, whilst in the UK we are fully open with no restrictions ? What a mad world we have become with Covid, so a combination of the restrictions in the Canary Islands and the restrictions the UK puts on people travelling abroad at the time meant I wasn't going to Gran Canaria. ;-(
I really hope you will finally go on holidays in this attempt :) What was driving me crazy in the beginning of the summer, when I wanted to record again flights to/from the UK, was that the travel restrictions were huge (pre-travel PCR, vaccine, test on day 2 and day 8, etc) while inside the country there were almost no restrictions at all... Hope you've enjoyed the video mate :))
It's a mad, sad world we live in. We, as a family of four, were going to go on our first holiday last year but the pandemic stopped that. We won't go now due to the restrictions until everything is lifted, and that's EVERYTHING, facemasks on planes, the lot.
Hey! Great report on easyJet today :) I miss the old comfortable easyJet seats on the A320, but these new ones are quite sleek! Onto the travel restrictions: While in August when you flew, yes the restrictions were quite bad and expensive the UK has at least improved this (noted in the description by you;) ) BUT - It's not only the UKs fault, Some EU countries ask for over 12 year olds to be vaccinated (or else 10 day quarantine...) which poses an issue because in the UK, they don't fully vaccinate the over 12s yet. While some countries accept some tests for no quarantine, places like Poland require 10 days of quarantine if you aren't vaccinated and are out of the Schengen zone. While I don't know how it was in Mallorca, I could assume it was sort of similar given how low the load was on this flight because Mallorca is usually booming with tourism from the UK! Nevertheless, Great video, love easyJet myself!
Absolutely. I believe that, in general, the EU and the UK have often forgotten about the "real problems" of the citizens, as this total lack of coordination on the travel restrictions shows. It is, of course, important that other issues are discussed and they embark on negotiations for many other topics... but establishing common restrictions, I think it was a priority that neither of the two parties has been able to put on the table in time... Anyway, I'm happy that those restrictions are something laying already in the past... and hopefully will never come back. At the end of the day, even if the UK is no anymore part of the EU, the relations between people often don't care about borders, and 2 areas laying so close should be always open for travelling people to enter. Cheers! :)
Hi, nice video. Just wondered how you created the map route at 0.19 seconds to show the flight path? Which website do you use to crate this graphic? Thank you
Random question, do you think I would be able to use a few audio clips of this video? I was thinking about using the audio of the cabin announcements from this video for a flight simulator video (to make the video a little more realistic) Thanks in advance!
I believe that the main reason that empty planes fly to the UK is Brexit and the related travel restrictions and the fact that, among others, Poles had to leave the Islands and return home, so they no longer fly to visit relatives.
The Brexit was there for the last several years. It's not a problem of Brexit, it's a matter of the crazy restrictions there were in place in the UK all the summer until the last 2-3 weeks :)
@@OnBoardHD It's not "crazy" restrictions. They were put in place for good reason. People keep moaning about it. They were put there for everyone's safety.
Are you sure the Transavia at 16:37 was going to Amsterdam? It does not have a PH-... registration but F-.... This indicates that it is a TVS flight to (probably) Orly.
The scary part about the weather is that if it continues to warm up, UK will have weather like Spain in a few years to come and Spain will be like the Sahara ;-( Palm Trees are thriving in Southern England, I bet you didn't know that Lucas, he he he he he he he.
Haha I think you are a little bit catastrophic in terms of in how many years that could happen hehe Last time I've read about that, they were saying that it would take, at least, 100-200 years :D But yeah, I think we should do something to start reducing pollution and avoid the climate change to continue... and I think we are doing it... electric cars are already a reality, the first commercial electrical planes are already being tested... we are in the good way I think :)
Easyjet can be okay. I've never had any problems. But I don't get warm with the airport in Manchester. Every now and then the queues in front of the security check are so huge and there is hardly any progress.
1st. WHEN TUI???? I fly by Easyjet to Naples A320-200 over few years ago, but next year may I will fly on A321neo to Paris! In winter I have a plan to fly in one trip by BOEING 757 of JET2, because in december it will fly on wednesdays from Krakow to Manchester. Next by train to Edinbugh, one day Edinburgh city tour, next day I will mayby fly by TUI Airways veeery evening flight by TUI Airways from Newcastle to Alicante, and full day relax at the beach (but I dont know what weather was there at december...) next day to Florence (via barcelona) by Vueling and next day back by BUZZ Boeing 737 max. In Janruary to Mexico and end.
Nice vid, good quality pics despite dirty windows. Seems like air travel is picking up. Your opinion please: >2000 incidents with rowdy passengers onboard airplanes in US alone (drunk, masks, etc.) Have you seen heard that on European flights this year? Southwest Airlaines cancelled many flights due to staff shortage, maintenance backlog. Air France laid of a lot of staff. Can we expect delays / cancellations from European airway companies in the coming months? Can't wait to get up in the air myself again, even if it just to go to GB.
Thanks! Glad that you've enjoyed the video! I'm sorry mate, those things are not what I am informed about... the only thing I can say is that I've never had any of those issues in my more than 800 flights... =/
@@OnBoardHD good to hear. Thought you might have an opinion on it. I also folllow other channels with the same content as you provide (Simply flying, etc.). Nice to see it picking up again. Even though not travelling myself by air, the last 18 months, yours and others vids have given me a decent and understandable view into the trouble the air travel sector has been in / is still in.
We fly with TUI or Jet2 usually but this time we booked with easyJet I've never flown on an a320 only an a330 with Jet2 is there any difference for us to be expecting and Is it worth going with easyJet
Well, EasyJet is a proper low-cost airline... so don't expect any extra. TUI and Jet2 have also kind of low-cost onboard service but they are more "holiday" style airline. You'll enjoy the flight for sure! :)
So yes, Manchester Airport is pretty ugly. But you did some amazing spotting overthere! Is EasyJet becomming a bit of a rare bird these days? They don't pop-up on your videos too often. At 13:30, is that the famous green flash we could witness or is it caused by contamination on the windows? As always: Great job!
Well, it is commonly known that EasyJet was the last airline to rebound after this covid crisis, mainly because they pulled out even more than other airlines during the lockdowns and because its operative is highly dependent on the UK flights. As the biggest travel restrictions were in the UK during this summer, that's why EasyJet didn't fly so much this summer...
Hi! May I know will they measured our bag upon check in? I bought their cheapest ticket, and the bag that I plan to take is bigger than their under seat bag requirement (which is 45x36x20), will this ever be a problem?
Well, if you aleready know that your bag doesn't meet the size requirements... I guess the best idea would be to get one of that size or check the bag in the hold :D
16:36 it is completely wrong… the transavia flight is not going to Amsterdam because : 1- the ac registration is french and TO is split in 2 different companies 2 - there is no flight from pmi to ams operated by transavia France
You are correct Merie, take off is one of the most dangerous parts of the flight, landing being the most dangerous, this is because these parts of the flight involve the most human input, and thus the biggest chance of error. Still not dangerous in the grand scheme of things though.
