I am surprised that you are getting rid of the LeoFoto LS-324C Tripod. I love mine even at 6'2". I too have the Manfrotto 500 Video Head. I am not happy with it. The reason I don't like my Manfrotto is there seems to be no counter balance resistance no matter what I do. I think I watched a video by Scott Keys or Hudson Henry and one of the mentioned that. I think it will be going into My TRADE pile. In fact I have a few other things I want to shed. I have two Kirk BL-Z7ii L- Brackets that I don't need any longer as I have switched over to the Z8. I also have a MoVo Gimbal Head that needs to go. Thanks for the video and giving inspiration to Declutter the camera room. Ron

@rdphoto2 My thinking is Manfrotto should take a closer look at their published weight rating for the 500 and decide if people are indeed being given the correct information concerning how much weight the head will counterbalance and hold still when tightened down. The 502 has worked VERY well for us. Not too pleased with the 500, but didn't want to sound too grouchy on-air about a brand I actually overall like quite a lot. Thanks for the comment!

The Cannon R1 body is over $4,000. Battery grip 1-$,00 2-over some $800 or the cooling fan version for video. Cannon CF Express card was around $900 but was discounted recently. Okay for working Pros but us retired folks "no Way". I will watch for what the photographers will be using at the Paris summer Olympics. And if either Nikon or Cannon will have loaners.

@robertsaunders5740 Seems all of the camera makers are asking more and more for any new camera bodies rolled out. Canon R1 $6299 per B&H listing. Really? Thanks for the comment!

@@folkartandcamera Thanks and I should have looked first. The new Canon release, R5 Mark II is $4,300. After watching videos about both. The R1 has superfast read wright speed for fast action sports and has the 3 choices of battery grip. And it seems that the masses are using the 600mm sport lens for $16,000. My local camera store has/had a used one for sale and he asked if I wanted to try it on mine? No thanks, only $6,000 and it would be my luck I would drop it. I expect most of the users are on an expense account and a tax write off. Then again, a new Hasselblad sells for $10,000.
