I definitely are getting those eartips and a few other. It seems the right tip can save the day. I saw those reviews. I am going to save up and get a 7hertz Timeless.
Got the Mele a few months ago. One of my favorite IEM purchases of 2021 (only 2nd to the Blessing2:Dusk). Enjoyable to use for most genres especially rock, metal, and anything related. Got an aftermarket cable for it and using JVC Spiraldots as tips. Found it to be warm, natural, punchy, engaging plus build and fit are superb. Staging and imaging are good as well. Happy New Year Dave! Hope you and your family have a safe and good one!
Of all the IEMs in the budget category sharing that Blon 03 type tuning, these are probably the best. Still I wish there were more generally neutral options like T2. All other options have glaring issues (SSR with its shouty upper mid range or KZ ZEX Pro with that nasty treble spike). Also T2 would benefit from having better technicalities, detail retrieval and less spiky treble imo and they could probably achieve that with newer drivers while keeping the price and the rest of tuning the same.
Totally agree. There is a lot of tuning options to be explored and a true revise of the T2 with driver update but keeping neutral signature would be welcomed.
Mele: Bass 9 Mid 6 Treble 8 If you love bass this is a good buy. Even the low sub bass he can deliver it flawlessly, the comfort wow its the best fitting i had in any earphone or iem, you cant even feel it because it sits on the lower lobe of our ear. The separation is 7 Compare to aria i like mele better cause im a basshead Aria will have the mids but a little shouty on its treble. If youll ask me if its ok to buy mele if you already have aria? YES for a change for aria is boring for me For collectors? Its a must have For beginners? Absolutely for 50bucks its a no brainer
Good review, Dave! I feel that the Mele is a well executed set & good value for money. 👍🏽 I enjoy the all of the iems you discussed & use them for difft purposes, genres & comparative experiences. Hey, did you get a new camera for Christmas cause you’re looking like “Dave in HD”! Cheers & Happy 2022.
I recently changed to the OnePlus 9 Pro Hasselblad so maybe that is making the difference after an update. I agree the Mele is a fantastic value and complements others very well but it also can standalone very solidly.
I liked the Mele so well, that I bought a second set. I have one on copper and one on silver. These and the 7Hz Timeless are my two regular IEMs and I tend to rotate a 3rd in for contrast.
I feel the Mele is a side grade to the classic 03 due to one reason: Treble extension. The Mele lacks extension after around 8k which is a bit disappointing IMO given that it corrects the slight mid bass bloat the 03 has. Still a solid package for $50 though you could arguably spend a bit more and get the Aria or T3+ which are both objectively better than the Mele.
The MELE is not a side grade to the Blon 03 in any way. It's a significant upgrade that's considerably more refined. The only similarity between the two are the tunings that allow for extended non fatigue listening sessions.
These MELE are the best $49.00 I spent in the year 2021 .......They are badass to the bone ! ....So comfortable and sound simply amazing......They need many hours of burn in (50-70)hrs, they get clearer mids on voices and gain on treble as they burn in .......I have seen them get better and better after a month of using them 6-8 hours daily......I enjoy them better than the T3 plus ......
@@MannyScoot You ain't jiving, I played RU-vid and Spotify and the sound way more detailed now . I guess I am at 100 hours. I still like the warmer Blon-03 by a hair. I think because I pushed the screens out of the Mele and Blon I get more treble detail. I just keep my ears and eartips clean and enjoy the clean sound. Whoever says the Blons barely have detail is daft. They don't exaggerate details and the have height, depth and an open sounstage, thats why they are my favorites. The Mele is a close second, they are so smooth but with a smaller head and soundstage but exceptional nonetheless.
Disagree.....The Mele have an awesome soundstage and get better with time...... They are beginning to sound like my Oxygen......The Mele are worth it if you listen to Steely Dan, Rock, Metal, Jazz and even classical.....The instrument separation and soundstage is out of this world !
These sound very nice, but mine have QC issue, tone imbalance between left and right. One channel has more treble than the other. Returning to Aliexpress from the Netherlands was almost as expensive as the IEMs so...for me these failed.
Hello sir can your help me i m confused now . i watched your video of T3 plus and u like it and i also watched Bad guy good audio review he also like T3 plus. With your honest pick which one you go for ? Mele or T3 plus or Dunu Titan S waiting for your response.
I am very much a casual gamer now, I only play on the PS4 Pro. I play sim racing games, ie. Assetto Corsa, Project Car 2, Gran Turismo Sport, etc. I also play sports games, ie. FIFA 21. I rarely if ever play FPS games anymore.
@@TheHonestAudiophile ah i see, other than for music i'm planning to buy this iem for gaming too, fps in particular. I just wonder how good it will be.
Use them a lot at 70-80% volume ......that's all ..... and you will see how they develop in the treble region......Sparkling treble.......and punch of bass right in your face punch......
Not sure how much volume that is but that seems high. I listen to levels around 65db-70db and rarely ever go over 75db. All the details are developed at lower listening levels. Please protect the ears, listening loud is dangerous for ear health.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Yeah thats good i use around 30 to max 50% myself, i meant that manny guy set his music way way too loud i believe He is forcing the treble to be there in a very unhealthy way
