In April 2021, Tristan Harris virtually joined a senate hearing in Washington DC to offer testimony on how social media platforms’ design choices shape our discourse and our minds.
He testified alongside Dr. Joan Donovan, Research Director at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media Politics and Public Policy, and the heads of policy from Facebook, RU-vid and Twitter.

Thank you, Mr. Harris. What is most concerning is how few views this video has - hard to imagine everyone is too distracted to watch this most important information. Appreciate your clear and honest testimony. This affects not only the United States, but the world.

You absolute legend, Mr. Harris. I recruited myself to your cause a couple of years ago, so much so that I have now decided to go back to school at the age of 41. I used to be an art director in the advertising industry but now I am pursuing a masters degree in cognitive neuroscience so that I can dedicate the second half of my life to working on these topics. Keep up the CRITICAL work. We can do this.

Hi Tristan! I hope you can read this. What you said in the whole 5 minutes is exactly what has happened in the Philippines. It sucks that these platforms have no accountability in this when they themselves helped elect a dictator's son to our country.
