It is a very pretty place, a short walk down the hill will take you to the river Creuse, a short car ride will take you to Descartes or Le Roche Posay. Very good place for a holiday.
Tail fins were always a stupid idea. Fords had real troubles with panels made on Monday mornings, the coiled steel would 'age harden' quickly enough that many of the stampings would crack in the press and have to be filled with lead filler. (I was born not far from the Ford plant at Dagenham and knew a lot of men that worked there)
Living close to Fords at Dagenham, we never thought about Triumphs, but a few mates' dads had them. We all used to speak 'knowledgeably' about chassis rot and 'outriggers'.
@@harryfaber I'm an Alfa owner - I know all about chassis rot or, to be more specific, subframe rot. My car is in for MOT tomorrow, it's not going to be very pleasant...😕
