A good amount of varied work done. With the exception of final assembly stuff, I'm confident my electrical work is done. I also got the exhaust system installed and routed, finally. That was no fun!

What you called paper in that relay is actually called Bakelite. It's an early form of plastic where they resin impregnated cloth. It's funny that on the later Spitfires they did away with the relay and direct drove the horns from the battery and grounded them through the horn switch. I'm surprised the later horn switches didn't melt more often.

Wow, yeah. I didn't know that. Darn things draw quite a bit of current and that horn switch isn't that stout. I've heard of Bakelite, but not familiar enough to recognize it. Thanks, Michael!

hey Chris....nice work...I hate that "it works here..but not here"....you know how I feel about electric issues...LOL. Very glad to see it coming together....however...I was disappointed when you didn't let her sing with that new voice you gave her....I guess I will have to keep coming back and checking on your progress....LOL Keep up the good work

Definitely not much fun to troubleshoot. Good for messing with your head, tho 😒. I'll need to test my heater so maybe I'll start it again soon! Thanks, Robert!

Hi Chris, Something that you would appreciate is Evans Waterless Coolant. It is a coolant that bis non-water based and last forever ( www.evanscoolants.com.au/ ) It has many many other great properties including a very high boiling point (190°C and 65°C below) This means you can remove the rad cap when coolant is hot and the system is not pressurized (no pressure/stress) on hoses/radiator/water pump etc) The only thing is that you will need to remove ALL traces of water and old coolant from cooling system before replacing. I think you will adopt this product as you research more. P.s. you will be able to remove that scruffy old reservoir at the front of the radiator, as this stuff does not expand like water does......Enjoy

Thanks, Joe. I've seen that stuff from Rimmers, but have never looked into it. I'll do some research. Thanks!

Nice repair on the horn relay problem. Boy that resonator/muffler seems so tight against the frame. Will it rattle on bumps and transfer a lot of heat to the floor? It does look nice and well mounted. You are really making lots of progress. Great video. Thanks.

Thanks. Yes, I'm worried about that, too. Definitely something I'll be keeping an eye on.

I noticed that your wiring diagram has written "voltage satbilzier", someone was at the pub for lunch lol

Lol, I missed that! No wonder the thing is screwed up...they can't even spell right 🙄

Nope, correction, that was my misspelling. I redid the diagram to colorize and made a new list. Maybe I should stop going to the pub!🙄
