I struggle, but make good progress, on setting the bonnet to scuttle. Still some height adjustment required to square up the bonnet to door gaps, but I'm really close! Please visit my website at www.roundtailrestoration.com
Hi Chris, just re watching some of your old stuff, really good. You are hear by nominated, and highly elevated to be an honorary brit, by the mixed use of Millimetres and english imperial measurement systems in the same sentence ;) Have a great day.
Great to see Chris..You have this sebastian by the short and curlies!.Keep up the great and informative work. Before long she'll be on her wheels and percolating down the road!
Woo, hoo! That is a very good fit. These are very small issues. You just need to lift the front end and voila! Your door gap will straighten, your bonnet to sill gap will straighten and frankly, your gap at the top will close a little too. I had the exact same issue with the front of the door to sill gap on the driver side. Way too big and no room to move the sill back. I was considering cutting the rear end of the sill a little, but I found the source of the problem which was quite simple. See here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8JXHpBpieS4.html I hope that will work for you as well. You are making a great progress. This is a very big milestone and I am really happy for you!
Like Elin says, it should be possible to adjust it together. On my car where i have shanged wheelwells, d-plates and front re inforcement panels it a bigger issue. As you have experienced, some of the reprocduced panels fits like crap, and thats my problem. Your bonnet is original, and not over repaired (rust). PS. It really bugs me that i'm always so late watching your videos, but that's the backside of having timezones.
I got a lot done today, just short of welding the driver's sill in. I'm really happy with the gaps and they are good enough for me! Sorry about the time zone thing. I never really thought about that delaying your watching.
