Looking for the heart of Triumph, we find it in this modern classic that is the perfect ride in so many ways, full of great character and calm ability. Presenter: Nadim Sadek || Director of Photography: Sean Sadek || Producer & Researcher: Searsha Sadek || Editor & Soundtrack: Joe Bradley || Thanks to Steve Radt and his great team at DucatiTriumphNYC in Manhattan, as well as Triumph North America, for their generous and fun participation in making this episode.

While I don't think I will ever own this Triumph. But was here for the views of my favourite city on the face of earth.

A good review, subscribed. Looks like a very pleasing all round machine to own, not too retro, just a nice torquey twin (as opposed to the Torquay Twins, which is a whole other story, officer).

Ha - good stuff Mr J and thanks for joining us! The Street Twin is just a great balance, making it a timeless example of simple, rewarding biking.

Front brake is a brenbo rear is a Nissan , I’m getting this beauty in July but I’m still tied between this and the Kawasaki Vulcan S. Reckon it’ll be the Street Twin though in the end . Nice to see a review done in NY city. Love NY and it’s people. I’m in Dublin Ireland and our Triumph dealership is a treat to walk around. Thanks for the review it was different and unique

The new version has a touch more vim, so hopefully 90 mph will not be over straining the goose, nor ruffling it's feather's, upon the happenstance.

I am 6'4'' ( 194cm) - would this bike be high enough for me? If not, what bikes should I look into as a taller person? I like the look of some of the Moto Guzzi ones too.

Hi. The Street Twin is not the biggest bike around - that's part of its appeal. It's slim, lightish, and not very long. At your height, you may need either to go just 'bigger' or to look at something like an adventure bike to get comfortable. Thanks for watching!

very nice review, and I agree that it's certainly a great motorcycle. What really hurt me to hear in this video is that it's easily accessible and inexpensive bike and , it's like getting a thousand knife's into my chest. My dilemma is if to get The Street Twin or the HD Sporster 883 which I also consider it a very nice bike. the street twin costs 11300 euros and the 883 is 12000 euros. the iron has a fully aircooled and a very characterful engine, everywhere you look at the bike is metal, dash, mudguards, side panels.I saw the street Twin in cranberry red in the flesh and is drop that gorgeous too. BUT the dealer told me that for that particular colour there's 300 euros in extra...I mean..for real? there's a lot of plastic around the bike...ok plastic don't rust..fair enough, but damn i really need to justify the price.

Hi there and thanks for you comments. We understand your pain... And our advice is, go with your heart! You're trying to talk yourself into a decision, but you already know what you want - go with it, and love it! (and they're both great bikes) :)

Boss Bikes Club so you think i already know the answer?...pls illuminate me! I didn't test ride them yet and i really struggling in my mind to say, " ok F### it, i go for that one"

Your instinct seems to want to the Triumph, but you're trying to justify it. What will make you smile more? In any case, both bikes are great! Have fun...

I agree. It is not inexpensive. I would appreciate it if reviewers didn't keep being condescent with anything below BMW 1200s. It would behove them to put themselves in the feet of those who are the potential buyers and not be like "yes you should really buy this tiny but nice bike, if you are a scrony newbie". It would be nice if they pretended nothing above this price point and size existed and they never rode huge bikes, so that the review felt more objective. I really don't want to feel that because I'm starting out, I'm buying a toy bike, because if you think about it... it isn't.
@BossBikesClub

Hey Renato. Thanks for commenting - we appreciate all feedback. Within Triumph's range, this is price-positioned at its lower end. And within the whole motorcycle market on offer in places like the USA, the StreetTwin is an entry-level model. In those terms, it is accessible, as we put it. We completely appreciate that each dime takes an effort to earn - it's why you'll see us reviewing the Haojue and Kawasaki Z125 in glowing terms in other episodes, too.

Hi Boss! A question. I like that bike so much. I commute on my city (Buenos Aires) and I do short distance in route on weekends. Do you think is the correct bike to me? Did you have the possibility to test the maximum speed?
@BossBikesClub
@BossBikesClub 6 лет назад
Hello! Thanks for getting in touch. This sounds like a great bike for you! We did not test its maximum speed, and it is not really a bike for going very fast, we would say...it's a lovely, relaxed one, with lots of character.

Not suitable for touring? Why? Panniers, tank bags, racks, wind screens etc. are available and carrying luggage is not a problem. A group of guys were seen touring on Honda 50s - extreme but possible. I'm 5 feet six inches tall and I find the bike very comfortable, having a seat height of 750mm. It may be a different story if you are six feet three but we are not all giants. It can handle legal highway speeds ok. We don't all want to travel at 90mph. I'd do a tour on this bike.

and good for you! As we said, it's a great bike, and we sometimes wonder why any of us need anything more than it offers. If you buy one of these, we hope you greatly enjoy your time with it!

Hi Rich. This episode was shot on the streets of an incoming's President's home, in the days around his inauguration - we felt it would have been odd not to reference it gently, which is what we did. The StreetTwin is a great bike which we hugely enjoyed around Manhattan! Thanks for watching.

When a bike is great, we have no shame at all in acknowledging that! As the review shows, it's not a perfect bike and it's not for everyone, but as our mission says, we find the boss in every bike, and this one certainly has its own unique and great appeal.

@@BossBikesClub The Street Twin is pretty good; I don't know about great. When you pay that much, you want a good rear suspension (get some stiffer springs and Ohlin shocks), a good front suspension (get stiffer fork springs and heavier fork oil), a tachometer (replace the single clock with twin clocks from the T100), a center stand to make changing the oil and lubing the chain easier. Finally for aesthetics, replace the cheap plastic brake master cylinder with an anodized aluminum unit, get the red tank, peel the decals off the side panels and paint them red, paint the headlight bracket and fuel injection covers black, and install a skid plate to cover the ugly cat. Still a nice bike but for that price, it could have used the above.
@BossBikesClub
@BossBikesClub 4 года назад
@@jamesdarnell8568 for sure you can add a lot to these bikes and make them much better...our observations really focus on how good the basic platform is, especially in terms of character, rather than specification.

Hey Ron. Thanks for dropping by to watch our review - hope you enjoyed it! We hear you: it's a nice touch, reflecting the heritage of the brand, to get some 'real' lettering...though it's only fair to say that it doesn't take anything away from the riding experience, which is great! :)

I'm a Triumph owner and British. The remark about Donald shows how politically ignorant you are. Don't bring your politics into it. Remember most of us riders are working class and are not privaledged like you. Good way to destroy a compony. Bring in politics

Hey Jonathan. Thanks for dropping by and the enthusiastic posting. Suzuki is one of the least definable brands these days - the Hayabusa, and Katana years ago, remain its most iconic bikes. They were brutishly fast innovations in their time. We believe they remain at the increasingly obscure core of the brand. All manufacturers, pretty well, make everything, but each has its own iconic examples, and themes. We stick by Suzuki, at its heart, being about speed. On the 'pile in the garage', we hear you. Manufacturers have to do with some sort of standard model, all the same, and most people would focus on the pleasure of personalisation, we think. Kerry can speak for herself, and to our minds, there's nothing at all wrong with advocacy of women-bikers!
