Hi Keith it is Steve just watch your video and I did not notice you tickle the carb, what you have to do is push that little plunger down which is on top of the float chamber hold it down until petrol pours out of the plunger. Don’t worry about it dripping down the carb by doing this it enriches the mixture. Then try and start it you may have to do this a couple times.also you could try opening the throttle as you kick it, also just check that you have got 2 mm open on your slide. I don't know much about those British bikes, suck, bang, blow and it should go. I know you probably checked the timing over over, but on that one kick it blew flame out the left side pipe. Seems to me it should go. It doesn't look like it has a lot of compression to me, are they that easy to kick over?
neither did i when i started, learnt as i went, everything is backward on these bikes, + earth, gear lever on the other side, up for first instead of down, getting close though
