Tropicana Las Vegas Closes it's Doors for good Las Walk-Thru. The Tropicana officially closes its doors on April 2nd, 2024. Oakland Athletics agreed with Bally's to permanently shut down and demolish the Tropicana, making way for two new projects: a baseball stadium on nine acres of the site, and a new resort bearing the Bally's name on the remaining land. The Tropicana is expected to be demolished by October 2024, making way for the New Las Vegas Stadium.

The first time I was at the Tropicana was in 1987, when the breakfast buffet was $1.99, lunch $3.49, and dinner $4.99. When I passed through that long hallway and looked through the windows at the pool, there were some macaws there welcoming the guests. I was in one of the towers that had just been built in 1986. The Tropicana will always remain in my memory, my wife and I had good times there. Last night I was at the Tropicana again, I thought that yesterday March 31, 2024 was the last day, I met employees from that time, it was incredible that they were still working there.

My son and I stayed there in January and watched the Raiders beat the Broncos in the new Allegiant stadium. We went to the Laugh Factory for a comedy show. We had no idea the closing was coming up. Wow. Things change.

I just want to say I have some good memories there. That being said if they do decide to implode It Don't Go near it because it is full of asbestos you don't want to be inhaling that stuff. Thank you for the walkthrough and I'll be seeing you soon kid cheerio .

It will be interesting to see what this will end up becoming if not the stadium. Regarding the low ceilings that’s just how casinos were built back then. If you go to any of the older casinos/hotel on Fremont Street it’s the same thing very low ceilings. I think it’s kind of charming and reminiscent of old Vegas.

Thanks for the walk-thru was going to FS Expo on the end of June there but it got moved to the Rio due to it earlier than predicted demise!

I stayed there before COVID for a work conference. Rooms were a bit beat up and gambling was ok. Nothing special

Don't take this as a hating or trolling. It's just constructive criticism. The audio is way off.It's almost 10 seconds off in some areas. Also the items from the Tropicana are being sold at a fixed price ,not an auction. ICL will sell items for a fixed cost plus 15% buyer's premium ,and tax..When it's all said and done, if anything of value is left it will get dumped to Nellis auction or similar.i didn't want your viewers thinking they could go online and bid on a blackjack table/roulette wheel ,etc. the ceiling height had to do with cost ,not design issues. Also why didn't you want to "poke around" more. The place is closing very soon. You should have gone and filmed everything.Good luck with the channel.
