Just a quick note on the asparagus - after you transplant the seedlings, it will take at least 2 years and maybe 3 years, before you can harvest the first crop. The patch will continue to produce for years, but you cannot remove ALL of the stalks - you have to leave some each year, and let them go to seed.

Skeeter is awesome! It’s obvious that he truly loves you guys and that you take great care of him. People like us develop a special relationship and bond with our pets. It’s always easy to notice. Even the ladies (chickens) are appreciated and well cared for. Everything else is almost a bonus. I wish you guys the best and hopefully I’ll be living that life soon enough.

I have never made sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts together - but I will be trying it for my wife and I in the near future along with oven baked cod loins. Only trouble is that I cannot use my cast iron pans on our ceramic top electric stove - I let my wife pick out the stove when we bought this house 10 years ago, and I would have bought gas instead. I do not like an elecric stove, but have learned to cook on it - I took over most of the cooking when I retired 8 years ago - been cooking for 70 years now! You two kids having fun ice fishing brought back many happy memories of doing that 50 years ago, when we were young! Stay safe, living the dream!

If you add about a cup of water to those Brussel sprouts when cooking them it boils off, then the oil fries the food after that. Thank you for sharing.....

I saw du prepping die fisch und I wanted to share some Super praktisch pointers. Foil, fisch, salz und pfeffer, chopped garlic, chopped parsley, Zitrone slices mit die knobs of butter on top. Wrap die foil Uber into ein Luft tight pouch. Bake. Du kann do this mit chicken breast also. Watching Kyle hug his Hund ist Super komisch lol!

Great to see you having so much fun on the lake. I enjoy seeing the different food people make and often try the things I see, love the sprouts and sweet potato, try adding some rosemary to it or some thyme. The trout looked delicious.
