Here are some fall meals we’ve had on the homestead this week. Fall is my favorite time of year for many reasons. Pretty colors, no bugs, soup season, a fire in the wood stove. Enjoy this video of me cooking and I will share the recipes with you below!

I like the voiceover with instrumental music. Music should be subtle though, not a distraction. Skeeter is such a good boy. Springers are the best. The soup looks delicious.

In Spain We say: "Nadie nace sabiendo", what means that nobody borns knowing or with knowledge. Learning needs failures because is part of the process, and It happens to me and to everybody that is doing or learning new things. One thing you can do is to be aware of what you are doing because these fails in fact are different ways of doing something and can be interesting in other moments. Making what your are doing is not easy and It's needed a lot of determination and energy. Happy to see people like You and Kile in this world. Kisses from Spain.

I am so enjoying your channel. Been watching your channels for a few years now (yours and Kyle’s)do not ever feel bad for little mistakes you do when cooking or baking,we all have to start somewhere, you are doing fab. I make buns similar to yours once 8n a while, we call them dinner rolls, you pull them apart. Nothing wrong with them, you did great. Don’t give up, you got this 🇨🇦🌷

Yum! Now I’m hungry for tortellini soup! 😁 If you like a bit of zing, you could add use a can of Rotel (diced tomatoes & green chiles) in place of one of the cans of diced tomatoes. (I’ve found that the store brands are the same as the name brand.) We enjoy all your videos!

Good for you for experimenting and trying. That is how you learn. I add sour cream to my mashed potatoes (and a pinch of white pepper) and always mash them by hand. Using an electric mixer overworks the potatoes and makes them gummy. When you sauté your onions or vegetables, add a big pinch of salt which draws out the moisture so they brown more quickly. Great video. I like the voice over.

Both meals look delish! I make something very similar to your hamburger gravy. I add onions and garlic to the beef, cook it the same, add butter, flour, broth, and then I add sour cream or heavy cream, whatever you have. Heck I even use cream cheese if it's all I have. Last I add lots of black pepper. Such comfort food! & I love the jazz! .

Great video ! Some advice is to cook the meat at a lower temp . To keep it moist. Do not add cream to your soup when boiling. It can curdle Let it cool down . Or temper the cream then add. ❤

Hi Cierra! I really enjoyed watching this video. I love your channel and I would watch anything you upload. The meals you cooked looked mouth-wateringly YUM! I remember when I first began cooking some 30 years back and I so agree with what you said about making mistakes, starting over, and getting it right the next time. It just takes practice. I am going to try cooking your childhood comfort food. Thanks for a great video. Take good care and see you soon.❤

Great video Cierra!! I have made that tortelinni soup with the Itialian sausage it is so yummy! Hamburger gravy is a staple around here too. We make ours for every pound of ground beef I use one can of beef consume, 1/3 cup red wine and 2 TBSP of soy sauce. I thicken it with water and corn starch but it makes such a good gravy!! Now I have to make those recipes next week LOL Thanks for sharing!

I made this soup and added the sausage but also added chicken. I also added more broth. It was a hit in this Minnesota family home. You can whip your potatoes in your mixer if you want easy. I think everyone in Minnesota grew up with hamburger gravy. One of my favorites and I’m 64.

Hi Cierra, I enjoyed your video. If you really like mash potato I would highly recommended getting a potato ricer. It's basicallym looks like a giant garlic press and works in the same way. It took me half my adult life to discover it and it's a mash potato game changer ! The consistency comes out so smooth, creamy and perfect.
