Troy Bilt 27 Ton Log Splitter 

Hey man that second modification totally made sense to me. I am a 38 year old father of two. I have a RU-vid channel about incorporating more movement/exercise into your every day life. I would suggest while splitting with the splitter in the vertical position, to do that in a deep squalid position. It’s a lot easier to do the work interesting deep squat, then to be standing up and bending over at the hips. Anyways that’s just my take, I found this video very enjoyable to watch, and I also like the music that you used during your splitting montage! I forgot to mention that I just purchased this log splitter two days ago off of craigslist. I was very excited to get it because I had used one like it in the past. I live on a small lot, it’s nice and portable to be able to bring in and out of my garage.

When you. Find the video showing the use of the rod to do a shorter stop, please send me the link for it. Also, JFY: Swisher splitters makes a 4-way part that will fit easily over the wedge. You will have to either remove the red piece which is there to knock of stuck wood or cut it short, or just cut some slots to allow for the passage of the wings of the 4-way itself. I welded a table on my splitter. Which was bought at TSC, tractor supply company. I’m sure you can find examples in a web search. Enjoy.

Liked and subscribed. I have the same unit probably from 2010 when was purchased new from Lowe’s. Mines on its second Briggs and Stratton after having carb issues. I use ethanol free gas and no issues.

When you lift the log splitter in to the Vertical position you Must lock in the safety pin, that will make it secure and safe while you are splitting wood.

Good video. I just picked up learning how to weld semi recently and really enjoy it. Very useful to have in the garage. I got the titanium flux 125 from HFT and it is a great unit for the price. Can get it on sale for 179.

I have found the padded 5 gallon bucket seat is the perfect height to operate at when in the upright.

Honestly it works best as a two man job, me and my dad can process several cords of wood in just a few hours.

What does that unit measure (horizontally) from the bottom of the plate to the tip of the coupler?
