He did well. Reversing a dog trailer down sloping ground can be a pretty hard thing to do. You don't have the same control over the direction the trailer goes in that you do reversing on flat ground or up a slope. Basically, the trailer will take off in any direction it likes because it is actually pulling the truck down the slope instead of the truck dictating the direction of the trailer. If your trailer is the slightest bit off line when you begin to reverse, it will keep going in that direction no matter what sort of corrections you make. Even having one slightly dragging trailer brake will send it off wandering. Again, this bloke did a bloody good job!

Is not easier to have a semitrailer? What as benefits of the truck and dog Vs a semi? Sorry I am new to trucks and reversing a truck and dog seems like a mission? Thanks
Depending on local weight rules can haul more material, also if need to can drop the trailer and just use the truck for on site work if needed. In western canada a tandem tractor with a tridem end dump will gross 46500kg and that configuration is somewhere around 57000kgs gross. All depends on the length of haul and truck availability.
Why the heck is that spotter on the blind side of that truck ? And why is he standing in the FLOP ZONE ?? Don’t even get me started with him standing between a dumping trailer and a moving grader.. 🙄🙄🙄
