@@callthemall Winter driving is not a joke, its very easy to get in trouble. On European truck with only one driving axle on the rig there is a big chance of jackknifing by just not using the brakes right.

PLENTY of following distance, slow right down for turns and stuff, and basically park it if it’s getting bad enough!

Yeah but now it’s compromised with the kink at the top. I might run the rest of the winter with it but I’ll be getting a new bumper sometime soon!

@@callthemall Thanks! I just started flat deck suber b driving and have 2 loads to tarp monday morning. It will be my first time doing it alone. Some solid basics would be nice.

Awesome! So the big rule is you want to tarp it so the wind doesn’t get under the tarp when you’re going down the highway. So start with the back tarp first. Put the back flap down and secure it with bungies or whatever you’re using. Then the sides will overlap the back flap. Secure the flaps over the back flap, then bungie up the sides pulling away from the back flap. I use bungies on every hook on the bottom layer, pull tight and hook on to the rub rail at a good consistent tension. Some people bungie one hook, to the rail, then up at the next hook, but I find it’s pretty rare you get the tension right to make that happen, so I just hook it to the rub rail. The front tarp is the opposite procedure. You want to do the sides first and then the flap. I hook the front of the sides to the rub rail and then bungies across the front of the first skids as well. Then bungie the sides down starting front to back, pulling backwards. Lastly I do the front flap, and bungie it down to the rub rail, and maybe a couple bungies at the top to keep things together. Getting it to look pretty is chocked up to experience. The more you do, the better you’ll get! There are some loads that are super uneven and no matter what you do you can’t get them to look good though. So just make sure the tarp is secure and run it. Hope this helps!!

Yes but I believe his truck is pre eld which means the motor is older than 99 (don't quote me on that number) so he doesn't have to run them

I think paper logs are still good for another year or something, but I run in the us which requires the eld

And yeah 2006, e log is on my phone hooked to the truck via bluetooth

My truck and trailers have drum brakes. The first trucking company I worked for had discs on their trucks and they were nice, it’s slowly coming into the industry over here. And yeah I always warm my truck up!
