@david white Their shipments were late. If anything they lost money but I'm assuming the companies understood but they defiantly didn't make anymore money.
We all know the man could have easily chosen to jump in a gap between the trucks, but that awesome show of support helped him see how important others felt his life was.
He'd likely hit part of himself on the truck, interrupting a straight fall. He'll still suffer severe injuries but he'd have a better chance driving. Those gaps weren't big enough to jump accurately through.
Maybe without those truckers he could of jumped into your windshield while you were driving down the highway. We give thanks for the disasters we are spared from.
It’s most likely just people who dislike because they don’t want to get recommended this sad stuff, so to tell the algorithm they don’t like want this, well, they dislike. Also, there’s some people who mis-clicked, as well as simple trolls and people who disliked because they didn’t like suicide.
That’s amazing. Those truckers are on a deadline and their jobs are sometimes on the line... this shows what’s truly important in life... saving a life however you can.

Kaden the reason they want to die is because whatever their problem is, is eating up their mind. There’s many people that have wanted to commit suicide that are fine now. Don’t encourage it, let people understand that things do pass and they’ll be happy one day. It’s deeper than that but I’m not going to type an essay lol.

News media prefers negative stories. I live in FL and recently in our "breaking news" was a story that a man killed his wife and her lover and himself in a parking lot in Ohio. How is that "breaking news" in FL? It was hundreds of miles away and completely over. The news media depicts this country as horrible and publishes plenty lies as well, all to sell their news.

It's due to the holiday season. They said that the man was having family issues. We don't usually get triggered by money or a job at the end of the year-it's almost always family or loneliness. This seems to be a message that 13 strangers care more abt you than you know. I lost my best friend to suicide on Jan. 2, 1992 at age 18, bc of family issues.. 💝
I wish this doesn't happen to anyone when you think you ran out of options & death is only way...life can be hard but this is not the solution... Hats off to these folks

The foreigners are the problem. I believe the government allows all these non-U.S.-citizens to drive on our highways without paying hardly any tax to prevent a strike amongst truck drivers. Why would the foreigners go on strike? They won’t because they are making more in a month than they could make in 1.5 to 2 years in their home country. They are some of the most unskilled dangerous drivers on the road. Courtesy for other drivers trucks and 4-wheelers is almost nonexistent.
chazparish in my country the only foreigners allowed to work are specialists such as teachers, engineers, and other highly skilled jobs. They still pay a higher proportion of tax compared to locals.
Not just the fact that they all without even knowing this man, lined up to break his potential fall. But the fact that they did so through a 4 hour ordeal.
We need more of this sort of people in this world. I think what everyone’s forgetting is that any of them truck drivers could have driven away at any time to avoid any late deliveries or to get home to their families but they all chose to stay parked under that bridge for 4+ hours until the police talked the man down from the edge of the bridge. Truly amazing 🖤
Yes but also treatment. Depression is a complex mental health issue, it can be that you're genetically predisposed, it can be that you've too much or too little of certain brain chemicals that is causing faulty mood regulation, it can be situational... it really depends and it needs properly diagnosed and treated. Sometimes an ear isn't enough, sometimes therapy, meds and changes in lifestyle are required. I do hope this poor man got the help he so desperately needed because being listened to may have discouraged him to go through with it that one time but without the proper treatment chances are this won't be his only attempt. Statistically, those who attempted to commit suicide once are 3 times more likely to attempt it again within a year of the first attempt and 38 times more likely to eventually succeed at taking their own lives. It's a scary and heartbreaking statistic.
This is true dedication. Policemen doing all they can to get this man to step down, and all those truckers staying there for 4 hours all in attempts to help keep this man safe. Beautiful people are still out there ❤️❤️
My brother jumped over a Detroit overpass back on New Years Day 1999. R.i.p brother miss u. Wish this truckers were there at yr time if need. Glad this guy didn't do it my brother had just turned 19 2 weeks before his passing.
Unfortunately there are many people with mental illness that want to die. Even with meds, it is very difficult to manage mental illness. For example I'm bipolar. The meds just help with chemical imbalances. Mental health system has not improved by one bit. They need to fix the system or legalize euthanasia
A friend of mine passed the same way. He was so lively when I last saw him. Everyone should watch for sign and never stop telling your love one how much you care about their existence.
It all matters while we are alive but once the soul to body separation becomes eternally complete are probably when the real answers show up. It would just be nice to get the answers now but we can only plausibly assume or just ignore.
My grandpa was a truck driver for his entire life and he was one of the greatest men I’ve ever known. He was the definition of a bleeding heart with the most kind and gentle soul that exists in this universe. I wish he didn’t leave the world so soon because it was better off with him than without him.

I love you all, in the last year I lost my brother to suicide and 6 months later his son,my nephew ,this brings me to tears. To the truck drivers thank you you really have no idea how much you have done. What the family carries is heavy and you all saved more than one life that night. May God bless you all.
