I also have a TrueForm Trainer, for over a year now, and absolutely adore it. I do 8km runs on it once a week and also interval training over 5km with 40 seconds jog and 20 second sprint and just love the workout. The shallow deck is A + since is feels like a run outside ( by the way I hate treadmills but this is not a treadmill) .

I believe the Truform trainers are actually built in Korea. I think the more expensive truform runner is the one built in the USA.

One of the motorized treadmills channels in one of their videos claimer you can't fix"heel toe running sprinting' on a self propelled runner.. Really????? I wouldn't think so...

I have a TrueForm Trainer and absolutely love it. I agree with what you said about the computer, but did you know you can easily switch to kilometers?

Yes, it is still tough to read compared to the assault runner monitor. I need to spend a little more time on it.

@@OriginalDanBailey came with a severed monitor cord. That took about a month to fix. Minor cosmetic issues (pieces not fitting together properly) It’s a good machine and it gets the job done. Belts doesn’t sound smooth anymore. Lots of squeaking. Again it’s good but based on the price point I expected better quality.

I have an assault runner myself because I like in the foothills and there are little to no places to run where it’s easy to maintain a pace. That being said, between the two, it came down to price for me.

The true form advertises this as a feature I believe on their website, give them a look! From personal experience, anything self propelled has been easier on my knees than a motorized treadmill.

It's pretty even, the true form may be a little quieter, the belt feels thicker and absorbs some of the sound.

I've found that rising the rear legs of the Assault Runner as much as possible, then adding a wooden slat (1-2cm) under it (thus getting the belt closer to the horizontal position) makes the treadmill way more comfortable either running or walking. It gives me more controll and responsiveness in maintaining a pace or increasing/decreasing the speed.

Which is better for sprinting? ? I have used the assult runner and it tends to runaway with me. Does the trueform sprint any better?

It’s tough to say, the true form requires what feels like more force per step. For sprinting I like the assault runner.

They are both unique in that you can get good at both as an individual skill through time and practice. Does that make sense?

I need to spend a little more time on the true form. The data you get from the assault runner monitor is easier to read and more helpful but the running experience feels a little more natural in the true form. Can’t pick just yet, I also want to check out the woof way curve!

100x better and more realistic to natural running. You aren’t reliant on a power outlet. They are relatively lighter in weight and not only are they more realistic, they can help develop/ strengthen your running capabilities.
