In this video I discuss this unexpected addition to my boot collection, the Truman Boots in Toscanello Horse Rump purchased as factory seconds from the Truman Boot website. I am beyond amazed once again by the gorgeous leather as well as how good they turned out despite being “seconds!”

Got my first pair of Truman's today. Java waxed flesh. I love them! A little narrow on the foot I think next time I'll go with an ee width but what a piece of craftsmanship! Can't wait to break them in

that's so awesome to hear!! yes java waxed flesh is a bit overwhelming to handle the first time you get them (in a good way) I couldn't quit staring at them!! wear them in good health my friend :-D

May I ask, did they stretch out a bit on the width, having broken in by now?

@@georgecarlin2879 a little but I have an odd foot and you can still tell they are to narrow. But I can wear them all day and they are comfortable. 2 days in a row.. well that's a stretch. I'm blaming it on my sizing though. Absolutely beautiful tank of a boot!

@@SugarMapleForge I just got my first Truman pair arrived about 10 days ago- Cognac Bison Uplands in 11EE, perfect width for me. Luv em, so comfy , looks gr8, so many compliments at work. Wearing them every day now

thank you!! i have not actually tried white's boots but I follow a lot of people who own them and they are very nice. Made with the same quality materials that Viberg/ Truman use so I don't have any reason to doubt that they're amazing

Do these naturally darken over time? I've been looking at brand new pairs of this and it's more of a medium reddish brown whereas your pair here is a dark brown. Is Cloe Cigar horse rump from the same tannery? Maryam tannery?

man actually the toscanello has not darkened up at all!! it's remained that drab-brown color, though i should also note that i have never conditioned them. Cloe and Maryam are 2 separate tanneries; this toscanello HR is from Maryam

Do you think the Truman autumn cxl is similiar in color compared to these? Im trying to find patina on the autumn cxl but cant find any pics out there. Didnt want nothing too light. Trying to see the true color before i jump on them. Thanks!!

yes i believe autumn cxl will probably patinate similar to natural cxl but i'm not 100% sure. but any lighter colored CXL should follow a similar path

So I've been getting into boots as of late. Have iron rangers in rough out, red wing moc toe in copper rough, 1000 mile in black. How do you pair the color of your jeans/khakis with your boots?

man that's a great question! if you want a good look at how I do that, you can check out my Instagram account: aerosurferlv, where I post my boot/pant/belt combinations almost on a daily basis lol! basically all I do is eyeball it, and since I like the boots to stand out, I make sure the color of the boots give a nice contrast against the color of the pants. the texture of the items also plays a big part, and to a minor extent, the weather. one resource I check often is the jcrew website to see how they're putting together outfits for their models for the boots/ pants combinations. I check on that regularly to make sure i'm keeping myself in check

Hmmmm you probably could if you’re feeling brave! It depends on how deep the dye goes . I would not attempt in most cases but if you get some natural horsebutt it’s worth a try
