How can religious affiliation be used as a diversity claim when there is supposed to be a separation of church and state? Also people who think religiosity shouldn't be questioned when it comes to judicial appointments are probably a bit insane. If your belief system revolves around an entity which you can not prove exists and does things that defies physics then you should not be allowed to determine the facts on anything. Your belief system shows you are not capable of using rational thought. Also specifically for Amy Coney Barret...considering how much of her life she is comfortable with her religiosity controlling I seriously doubt she can make decisions that represent my interests. Besides, in religious parlance...she is fruit from the poison tree and her acceptance of a nomination from one of the most terrible men in history makes her the one playing with snakes and eating that apple or however that story goes.

Watched Reversing Roe on Netflix last night, making me feel that this next appointment is going to prove detrimental for women’s rights. It was an infuriating doc to watch. There were things I didn’t know about how it shaped politics and it still plays a major role.

It's seriously been the most jarring aspect of my life, so far. Going from being a citizen of a once PROUD Nation, that adhered to certain specific rules of decorum and comety. And had fundamental foundational norms that were respected, honored without even needing to be mentioned. Even watching the electorate improve the Government itself historically, by electing am honest decent and hard-working BLADK man as President. Watching as one of the worst recent Presidents we've ever had found sufficient decency and grace within himself to ensure a smooth transfer of power once his administration was over. Going from all that, to SUDDENLY watching the New President, Donald Trump, of ALL people lol begin his administration with BLATANT egregious lies about his predecessor, about his own CITIZENS he's supposed to be representing as Commander-in-Chief, Banning entire religious groups from entering the Country, right along with anyone wanting to emigrate to the United States. And the list goes ON AND ON AND ON lol far too long to type out here, in this comment section. My point is, Going from one extreme to the exact opposite extreme has been neck-snappingly jarring, to say the least. And, I honestly have never BEEN more motivated to go out and VOTE, as I have been since January 21st 2017. Only Death could stop me. And it only has about three weeks to try. 🇺🇲
