Legitimately, it is actually difficult for me to process the news without the dose of humor. And they also tend to cover/focus on stories the regular news outlets dont (especially John Oliver), and they are far more transparent and blunt with their viewers too. Notice how they only refer to J6 as an attempted coup (becauseit objectively was), not a "riot" or "attack" like the regular news, for example. Thats all good stuff I really missed personally, but also that the public in general should be exposed to more as well.

I had to be in Medina, OH this past summer. The fact that it is represented by another Trump acolyte, Max Miller, was bad enough. But because the 7th congressional district is next to the district represented by Jordan, I minimized my time in the area and avoided spending any money. Jordan is so repulsive I don't want to be anywhere near the people who elected him. I stayed in Erie, PA, drove into Ohio prior to the appointment and then left promptly after that, and without spending a cent. I used to enjoy visiting the US; it was always a fascinating place. But since January 6, I get out of the US as quickly as possble. Yes, Americans do need to wake up to the damage Trump and MAGAism are causing to the reputation of the US around the world.

Why? Nothing he does will have the slightest permanent effect. Likely because they were a part of the right wing disinformation noise machine that wasn't technically defaming Dominion, even as their actions were undermining Dominion's reputation just the same. Fortunately, the majority of their supporters in mass media are still under heavy lawsuits, Fox News only resolved the Dominion lawsuit and the Smartmatic lawsuit is still going strong with a ton of information already in the public domain squeezed out by the Dominion suit so it's theirs to lose, and there's a pretty good chance a lot of them will be sued into poverty the way Alex Jones was. And it's sort of hard to say that Jim Jordan should be reelected when your only platform is a street corner where his media buddies will need to compete for attention with cult recruiters, winos, and loud dogs.
