Hello Dr Rizwan Can u please confirm do we need AHPRA registration compulsory to work in Australia. I completed my MRCEM , working as emergency mediicne consultant in India with 13 years clinical experience.
@EmergencyFocus
@EmergencyFocus 6 дней назад
Everyone needs AHPRA registration to work in Australia. MRCEM has no acceptance in Australia 🇦🇺 so you will have to do amc 1 exam and then apply for jobs. Good prospects in ED though

Dr Rizwan pls help me with this confusion.I am a post MD Anaesthesia Doctor from India with 2 year experience post MD.My ultimate aim being a consultant doctor in Australia,pls tell which is better -Going for DM in Anaesthesia (3 yrs) from India and then applying for specialist pathway or Going to UK as a Speciality Registrar and only completing FRCA exams not CCT(If possible CESR),then apply to Australia for comparability.
@EmergencyFocus

Both of these options vary greatly on the extent and quality of your experience. I recommend you check out this link for personalized insight: www.emergencyfocus.net/booking-calendar/1-1-specialist-pathway

Dr Rizwan!I have one query,If age is more than 45 years for a doctor then he is not eligible for nationality in Australia?
@EmergencyFocus
@EmergencyFocus День назад
It is true that most Australian visas have an age limit of 44 meaning that those who have attained the age of 45 years are not eligible to apply for an Australian visa. According to the Internet, you can apply for a Parent Visa to immigrate to Australia after 45 years of age if your 'spouse or de facto partner' is a citizen or permanent resident in Australia.

@EmergencyFocus

Hi, thanks for your comment! If it is a proper primary care setup where you are exposed to ample primary care cases with proper referrals, then it may be considered as recency. According to RACGP, the criteria is at least 48 months before you apply. For more information, check out my website www.emergencyfocus.net/

Very well articulated analysis. But quite a significant no of high networth individual from India are leaving Indian citizenship and among them most of their destination is Middle east specially Dubai. But none of them are Doctor by profession.

My RU-vid channel has covered the AMC exams in extensive detail. I also offer end-to-end educational courses needed to pass the AMC 1 and AMC Clinical on my website: www.emergencyfocus.net/ MBBS students may start their AMC preparation ideally during their internship and take the first part soon after it ends!

Good analysis, but the leaving salaries you quoted for those countries are actually much lower for a majority of doctors. All the reasons you gave are bang on, which is why doctors must only come to these countries after fellowship because there is hardly any personal or professional growth.

That’s true … salaries have taken a nose dive in recent years or not kept pace with times , what was acceptable 20 years ago will obviously not work in todays inflated markets and cost of living crises
