It always cracks me up when I see a video like this and there's one person that gave it a thumbs down. It's a video of a guy giving info about a RTR truck, the lighting was good, presentation was good what could there possibly be not to like about this video.
I would really consider buying one if my Bronco didn't just fry 3 ESCs with the last catching fire and my other with a dead shift servo. Matt thanks for getting back to me the other day! Appreciate it!
It is such a shame. Where i'm at near The Big City... There are 2 hobby shops left standing. I remember when I was a kid there were tons; my head would spin with excitement when my Father and I were taking a trip to any one! Now that I have some money and more age under my belt it really is disappointing that it is so difficult to walk into a small, happy, brick & mortar shop, with employees joyed to help. Oh well I guess i'll have to get with the times and be more supportive and grateful for the last of the local shop!

I have the 1/10 Summit, with the locking diffs and 2 Speed transmission, but none of my other vehicles have anything like that. It’s cool on the summit, but it’s already a heavy beast.
Think I am going to be stuck buying two, one to go out and one to put behind alarmed bulletproof glass. I agree, this is the best yet and probably only the RC4WD Blazer Limited Edition beats it on looks for any stock rig. How did that shirt not go up in flames..lol
They did a better job with this body than the bronco. Only the front windows on the bronco are clear, the tears are blacked out and it doesn’t have the wing window on the front window. Also the chrome trim is what the bronco needs.
Yes sir, that woud be the classic GM truck Rallye wheel package. Spot on and looking good. I need a set of those for my '88 GMC Van crawler project based on the SCALE 3DRC Vanburnan body. Man am I glad someone finally got the mirrors right on the Blazer... If anyone gets this RTR and swaps wheels, hit me up!
Scale Builder's Build doesn't like scale, mechanical things such as the shifting transmission and remote, locking diffs? Hmm... interesting. I do agree the Blazer is the best looking one.
The blazer body is available clear. Part number TRA8130, but you also have to order the decal sheet TRA8131, the grill TRA8134, the door handle and wipers TRA8132, the mirrors TRA8133, and the rear taillights TRA8135 to complete the body set. More than likely you would need to order the bumper mounts and bumpers them selves to finish out the look and they are all seperate part numbers as well
If you would have told me a few years ago that traxxas would be the company making the best scale detailed looking bodies I would have laughed .... Really impressed with their scale body game.

USA 1 is a restoration parts distributor for mostly Chevrolet truck parts, aswell as ford and dodge. Those wheels are Rally Wheels, optioned for all Chevrolet Trucks from 1970-1988 (1991 for suburban and blazer models). Another thing, that’s not pin striping, that is the chrome wrap around trim that was base on your Silverado and Cheyenne trucks from 1973-1980. The trim changed style along with numerous other things in 1981.
I just got the same calendar from my LHS a couple days ago. I use it to keep track of events I plan on attending. Hope everyone is super jealous. Hahaha
wheels are perfectly accurate, assuming the front 4x4 sticker is on an autolock hub :D (although they didn't exist pre 81 which this body is supposed to be). but that's just nitpicky, I like the wheels. the body however...….. Its a shame they screwed around with the proportions of the body to fit a standard wheelbase I assume. I thought we were past that sort of proline bullshittery. body isn't even close to correctly proportioned. looking at it side on just gives me a headache.

Great Video! I like the Red too. The Red Transition to Black isn't as Goofy as The Orange to White roof. The Real Blazer had a Black rubber Weather Strip between the Two.
Hey Matt! Wanted to help you clarify with the fenders. They are the exact same that come on the bronco version of the TRX4. Chassis mounted with room for two rock lights in each. These rigs with the locking differentials and 2 speed trans just add a different type of challenge out on the trail. Plus, it's a blast to get it stuck then locking the difs to help crawl right out! Have a great rc season man!
Yes that is the most fun part of the TRX 4 (getting stuck) then flipping the switches just like in real life and crawling out. Thanks for the info about the fenders, but do you know if the Blazer body fits right on the Bronco? Thanks!
@@rcintro1489 From what I've read and looked at in person you SHOULD be able to do a 1 for 1 swap with the bodies. And also from what I could tell the light kit for the bronco should also be interchangeable with the blazer body. Not 100 percent on that but from the looks of things they should fit right in there after the stickers are removed from the inside. We will just have to see what traxxas releases. Hope this helps!

I saw this other day at LHS forgot too look which shock towers this bronco running...Are they the bronco style or the defender.. I asuming the bronco style..I personaly like the defenders towers.. I have designed and modded parts to make some pretty wild concepts for suspention upgrades
Very very nice i like all aspects of the hobby. The trx4 is a very cool rig. We have three defenders. I would add a Bronco and a blazer. But how many trx4s does one need. Lol. Thanks for sharing. Nice review. 👍😁😉
Great looking rig..... only down side for me is that it's a 76-79. I prefer the first Gen Blazers 69-72. And I guess I'm going to have to run 1.9s on my RC4WD TF2 with a Axail 69 Blazer body....
As mentioned before. The wheels are spot on like the 1:1 wheels. The only way they would be perfect is if they were 1.55s. Traxxas did good on this one.
I love the blazer and the bronco. I wish would have used a licensed tire. Toyo, nitto, mickey Thompson or good years. The rims on bronco and blazer are SPOT On. Great video as usual. Ty
I believe that your land Rover is like my tatical where its a "first gen" where the fender wells are 2 parts. Now they all come with the same inner fenders but you can change the wheelbase.
But but... it has all the bells and whistles and you like it? Lol ya hope they come out with the body soon as well. Sweet now I’ll have nice chrome door handles for my jeep.
I just bought the bronco a couple weeks ago. Havnt even hooked a battery up yet . I wish I would of waited , almost tempted to send it back to get this one
those wheels are what does it the most for me. They are 100% identical, I have no idea how to send you a pic here, or I would. The body is pretty spot on as well, well done traxxas. I believe the bronco / blazer inner fenders are the same. I can't believe I am going to have to run stock plastic rims on an upcoming build for me, but they just look soo good.
Scale Builder's Guild Not far off the original 15’s? I generally put the 1.55 tires on a 1.9 rim. Best of both worlds... Not too many chevs with 47” tires... Love the look.., all I can go by (trx4 )is the defender I have. Just not a fan of the huugge wheels and wheel wells... maybe it’s the trx4 scale (1/12??), just don’t enjoy driving it🥴. Me and my first world problems...sad I guess. Thanks and be blessed
They did a beautiful job. I think that's why it cost so much. Plus traxxas has to be paying for licenses for those body's. I have 2 broncos and a blazer in my house. And the blazer has a full interior plus lights
Talking bout proportions, they got the front fender (to short from wheel arch to door) wrong and the rear fender (distance from wheel arch to bumper shorter than to the door) even worse. Don't get me wrong is still looks amazing but this is the awful downside of this car. the side proportion of it totally sucks, the front could be ignored but the back is unacceptable. The did it much better on the Bronco although they messed up too, but not obvious as on the Blazer. When I first saw it i thought WTF, there is something wrong with the rear, then I checked it with real fotos, and got proof and then I realized the also messed up the front. Then I checked the Bronco as well.
@@scalebuildersguild Sure it will never be perfect as they share the same chassis, but it could be done much better with this chassis. The rear is not bound to the wheelbase they could have done the rear end of the Body (Bed) about 2cm longer and it would look right.
only thing traxas has...is a descent fender well set up...giving more scale realistic look..for what i seen...then you got the craigsman..1/8 scale and wow..killer rc....so thinking to have one..but I am a chevy guy to...lol.and I also like some axial product..question...the wraith.. is that an allowable rig to use in scale meets to do like at local events..I read portal axles are not in the comp class..new at this and trying to pick chose what to do..so to speak..did rc boat 25 plus yrs ago

@@MrAhhsum What Battery & How Much Run Time did You get? I steal My son's "Summit" All the Time. It Uses (2) 4400Mah Nimh & gets 30-45 Minutes. I bet 4 Hrs Seemed Like 1/2 Hr LOL!
