My favorite balls this year are the new 2022 Chrome Soft X and the Wilson Triad oddly enough. I never thought much to Wilson balls, but those things are really awesome

Love the ball review videos. Tried the Warbirds when they came out years ago. Okay but I never bought more after the first dozen. What camera have you been using to film the last few videos? I have notice the auto focus is slow to respond. Really noticed it in your videos with Andy, The Average Golfer. Speaking of Andy, you should do more videos with him. They were very enjoyable. What did you think of the outcome of The Open Championship. I am very impressed with Cam Smith's play. I realize a lot of fans were pulling for Rory.

I switched from callaway to Kirkland signature plus. Great ball, 24$ US for 2 dozen. Can't beat it!

This past weekend I tried the Wilson Boost White Golf Balls and we Surprised at how well I hit them. They actually have a soft feel. You can pick them up for less than $9.00 at Walmart for a Dozen. You should test those.. My Favorite Golf ball is the Kirkland Golf Balls you suggested figured I would get you a suggestion to try.

Just got the Kirkland Signature from Costco reviewed previously, by far the best for value and performance. I understand because of the stupid membership criteria not everyone can get them but a great performer. At £1/ball nothing competes!

I had forgotten about your hole-in-one with a Kirkland. You should mention that more. 😜 The truth is, if I had a HIO I would tattoo it on my forehead. All that said, I couldn’t agree more that the Kirkland is still the leader in budget balls.

What a Warbird!!! What a roll...

I actually found one of these during my round on friday morning and usually I save found balls for one specific water hole .. I was pretty impressed with it, played 9 holes with it before it found the watery grave. Play TP5 normally and the results were basically the same off the tee and irons, was not a fan off the putter.

When you get a chance you should review the Maxfli Tour and Tour X. Good ball, decent price and often can get 48 for $100. Could be a contender against the CostCo ball.

Finally a review of a ball I have used. For me, as a mid handicapper, I do not like them. Sure, they're cheap, $17 a dozen at wally world, but they are like putting river rocks. The Cut Red 'feels' better around the green and goes a little further.

I used the warbirds once, I did not like it. My go to 2 piece ball is the sirxon q stars. I still love the version 1 Kirklands.. I have not hit the 2 version of the kirklands.

I have a real hard time with scuffs on the ball, that’s why I buy the more expensive balls. I know It’s all in my head. I used Callaway super softs all last winter, but went through a lot of balls because I hate scuffs. Yeah I get to golf all winter long in shorts, AZ is not so bad.

I have been using Kirkland for 18 months or so now. Love them ad a high handicapper. You can't beat the value IMO. Just got my first box of the 2nd version ones. Will see if they feel any different!

Not surprising that if you restrict golf ball performance (rules of golf stuff) then over time every ball manufacturer will produce golf balls that converge to these max restrictions. I was playing a Wilson Staff 50 elite and was amazed at the excellent spin performance and soft feel. It backed up or stopped where it hit on the greens (wedge - 7 iron were the only data point). I'm not sure if it was as long as my Pro V1 or TP5 but for $13 per dozen, it's a pretty good deal.

I think I told your earlier, our shop is selling a 15 ball package of warbirds for $30USD! They seem longer to me!

James you should try the Wilson dna iv been using them the last couple of weeks £10.99 in sports direct not even a pound a ball could be worth a review and a wee shout out for me lol

I have found that on a firmer course, play a somewhat softer ball with more overall spin. On a softer course, play a firmer/harder ball with somewhat less spin. I think a "one size fits all" ball does not exist! Makes sense that you both did well with the firmer ball as the course looked soft.

I've been playing the Wilson Staff 50 Elite, as a new golfer I think they're amazing value at around £1 per ball.

My Father in Law had custom marked Warbirds from 2010 ish . These where great balls. Found warbirds at Dicks for a really good price. While the performance was good, the quality was very lacking. I found they got scruff and cut very easily almost as bad as the second gen Costco balls

If price is key why not get lake balls but with Urethane covers ? cost £24 for 12 . Kirkland signature seems the best value ball if you can get them. I like Tour Response , if i get lake balls it’s £2 a ball and I can live with that.

Now get a set of slazenger golf clubs and play with that ball to review for the golfer that rarely plays golf

The trouble with Kirkland is that you have to be a member of Costco which is not open to everyone.

A mate i play with genuinely does buy cheap balls because he's too tight to spend money (on anything really) but i play a Z star and yes at times you can tee up a new ball and lose it in 1 shot.... I'm always angry at the shot its cost me not the £. But he would look for 3 hours if he lost a £3 ball and then probably go back that night looking again 😁

While I love your ball reviews a couple things should be noted. You two are great ball strikers, any ball you use will be good. Secondly, cutting one open isn't enough to check quality. You have to cut a hundred open to check for quality AND consistency of that quality; how many are off center, not filled fully or in some other way not full quality.

After your cut, looks like the core is off centre...

The spin numbers are so telling. It's largely a product of the club path and face impact, not the ball (e.g. upward path at impact, high off the face = low spin. downward/flat path at impact, middle/low off the face = higher spin). Spin is DEATH to distance.

Get different numbers? I thought there was a chance to make the difference by writing on the ball - one J, one C - problem solved.
