As a heads up. With the green beans. What most people do is put some butter with it and salt. Throw it in the microwave for about 2 mins. Turns out really good. I normally put them with can corn.

It's always fun to watch Tyler eat things I grew up on and he acts like he discovered it.

My grandma knew how to make some mean green beans back when I was a boy and I loved them. The best to eat green beans is to cook them with sauteed onions and mushrooms. The onion removes the "aluminum can flover" she always told me. The mushrooms added flover as well. I am not sure if that's true or not but her food was always good. I miss her. She passed away at the age of 100 years old.

Tyler in Germany we eat warmed Sauerkraut with sausage and mashed potatoes and sauerkraut is a German word.

If you do this again, you’ve got to try Natto. Old school Japanese food made from fermented Soybeans. One of those really decisive foods over there, where some people love it and most find it horrendous. Make sure to stir it!

Just started my journey on your channel. Sauerkraut is a staple in Germanic households. I LOVE it. Yes, it does have a pickle flavor but so do pickles. So if you do like pickles on your hotdog then sauerkraut is a go. But I respect your experience.

The sea weed goes in soups. But you can snack on it a little. It's salty mostly and a taste of the ocean. Use it in Ramen noodles: add a slightly scrambled egg, that sheet of sea weed cut in 4, and a little sesame oil.

For the sauerkraut, its best with brown sugar (cooked down in a slow cooker) served with kielbasa. As for the green beans, cook them with butter, seasonings, chopped bacon and onion.

A burnt hotdog with spicy mustard and Sauerkraut is AWESOME. Where I live we have a chain called Quick Trip. It's gas and food type place I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. They have fantastic hotdogs not dry over cooked roller dog but really good hotdog. I get them all the time with spicy mustard sometimes a little hot sauce and of course Sauerkraut

Equally amusing to Tyler's face when trying some of the food are his descriptions. I remember trying the Whatchamacallit before it was on the market. My ex's step-father worked for Hershey's and brought them home for the family to try. I have loved them ever since. I had never had a Mallo Cup until I met my wife. They're good (I loved candy with marshmallow). The Takis might be your gateway drug into the spicy snack world. I tried the flaming hot Cheetos. I like spice, but hated the flavor. I'm part German, so I have to like sauerkraut. Pork and sauerkraut for New Years and I love sauerkraut with ketchup on hot dogs (boiled hot dogs...have to be boiled!). My favorite way to eat green beans...saute them in butter and oilve oil with salt and pepper and fresh GARLIC. Phenomenal!

So something to bring up spice wise. It is entirely possible that you'll get used to that spice level and you'll like the spicy food way more after.
