Have you ever found yourself in a completely new chapter in your life that you never thought you'd ever be in your wildest dreams?
Yeah, that's where I am at. It's not all bad, though. With death comes new life - and fresh beginnings! 🌱

This video was such a happy transmission of Zen and I love how you're talking about some really big ideas- like the intersection of grief and creation and creative community- in such a gentle way. The beetle turned out so good and the scones looked delish. Hobby eras are the best eras! One book with an eco-horror bent you might enjoy is Summerville.It's a short read and definitely gives all the nature vibes🥬

Thanks so much for the book recommendation! Spring is really bringing out the environmental and Eco horror interests. I’ve been watching a lot of spider animal attack movies and they’re so interesting because so much of a culture’s climate is expressed through this genre. I think you’d really like that short story collection; there’s a story about a woman who is haunted by different versions of her after her mother publishes a memoir about having to raise her. Of course the mother wrote about her daughter without her consent. It has a lot of really interesting subtext to it!

What a cool way to do paint-by-numbers! I've never seen it done on glass before. As for nature hobbies, I highly recommend indoor gardening. Whether it's a mini herb garden, or hydroponic veggies, or a bonsai tree, it's super fascinating and relaxing.

Great video! Love the cottage core vibes! As someone who has always felt connected to nature and animals, I have to be outdoors as much as possible. I spend as much time on the trails, barefoot to ground myself or just sit and get some sun and fresh air. I’ve noticed if I spend a lot of time indoors I start to feel not myself, almost sick. I think nighttime is the most peaceful time for me, I work 2nd shift, after work I like to sit outside and stare at the stars and moon to wind down and calm my mind.

Thank you for this beautiful reminder to check in with myself because I’ve also felt this kind of lethargy, which mostly feels like a mental fatigue that fog my brain and makes me so uninspired and unmotivated. When I’m in this rut, I need to remember to go outside and be with nature to reset!

Eeek the snail! I love snails and slugs so much. Also I will never NOT take a picture of a mushroom when I see one. Loved this so much. It’s nice to try new things and see what fits us for what we need at a certain point in life. happy spring!

I loved this! I've never seen a paint by number on glass like that, pretty cool! A few years ago, I tried my hand at watercolor painting using tutorials online. I have never been an artistic person, but I found it very soothing, and it got me looking at my surroundings in a new way. Thanks for reminding me, since it has been awhile since I picked up a paintbrush. Love that piggy spatula! I also love those mini vanilla scones. I can't trust myself to have baked goods around. No self control! Games - now you are talking my language! Love stardew valley, and I recently found another similar cozy game called Ooblets. It is a bit more simple than stardew valley. I loved this, Lauren. Mushrooms didn't do it alone! 🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄

Kristine is a painter!! I’m still so jealous that you know how to crochet. One of these days!! You bet it didn’t take long for those scones to disappear! Nothing sweet really lasts in my home 😂 I just looked up Ooblets and it looks a lot like Stardew Valley but the animation looks a lot more clear. I recently found Botany Manor, which is a storytelling game with plant puzzles. I wish I had the gaming platform for it! 🍄🍄

Coloring is my new favorite thing to do when I’m watching something or my brain is too tired to read physically and all I have is an audiobook! Work can be so draining sometimes so it’s nice to have a really simple activity to reset my energy and brain.

Omg nostalgia with paint by numbers! I've never seen the glass one before. I remember the canvas ones as a kid. I do diamond painting now, which is also like paint by numbers. I love the cover of Fruiting Bodies! I definitely have to check the book out. I too am not a confident cook either, I'm the cleaner. Baking always appealed to me more, more structure and timing with it. More science. I feel like cooking is more chaos and go by feeling haha! At least to me. Cozy games are my favorite kind of games. I do think cozy games are definitely more open world than structured with quests, which also is a struggle of mine. Those are some awesome looking coloring books! I want to dive more into coloring. Yes, I did just write commentary as I was watching. Sorry my comment is chaotic 😂

I love this! Your scones looked great! Yay Stardew Valley! I think what makes it such a treasure of a game is the storylines with the town and the people in it, so my favorite way to play is to focus on building those relationships (there are gift guides on the wiki which can help too).

OK awesome! That’s what I’ll do! Because so much of Stardew Valley reminds me of the Sims, which is all about building relationships and that’s what I think really appeals to me about Stardew Valley. So I think I’m gonna check out those gift guides and focus on the people, because the farming part is cute, but I love a good life simulator!

I love this video! I'm a huge fan of dark cottagecore/cottagegore aesthetics. I'm going to have to look up that book of short stories that you were listening to. I also have messed up those "just add water" baking packages by overcooking them in the oven, so I totally understand why you weren't sure how they would turn out 😂

Not me getting emotional when you're talking about changing/ growing 😩 The snail!! 4:08 this is my favorite nature channel on RU-vid 💯 I am living for the Baking Baddie journey you are on! The scones are looking scrumptious! I have never had a scone before maybe i'll try one soon 🤔 I am a cookie and brownie girlie all the way 7:18 🗣 I've been waiting for this! Tea okay so, I totally get how you can feel overwhelmed. I did not like the game at first because of it! I have found an app that has been very helpful called Stardew Valley companion guide and it tells you what season you can find each item and characters likes/ dislikes. There is also a checklist you can use to check off everything you donated to the community center! (if you choose that route) It is a lot to take in at first and I am no expert but if you need help I have almost 200 hours in the game and I am here to be of any assistance 😁 I love what you said about being connected and working together and building off each other's strengths to live out the larger purpose 👌😩😭 🍄
