Hey Man - I just bought these, and I had to dig for a long time, but I'm realizing what the issue is. It sounds like you were trying to set up the satellites with Ethernet Backhaul - That how I tried it at first and it DOES NOT WORK! These suckers, while inexepensive, are NOT compatible with internet backhaul. It totally breaks the GUI, the system, etc. They can pump the wireless signal out, but sadly, they can't take a wired signal in. I found out the hard way :/. TBH though, I kinda like my set, the wifi has been Mad stable in a 1800sq ft tri-level single family home, and I'm pretty impressed. Wish they supported Backhaul though.

I dont know, what I was hitting had nothing to do with the satellites. It wouldnt let me configure anything with just the router as I needed to in order to have internet with it. Hopefully theyve corrected this but at the time of testing it was not possible. But im glad its working for you, or at least mostly working. :)

@@PCGoblin yeah, the configuration page when I had the backhaul line in was all sorts of messed up! Sometimes it would load, other times it would be super unresponsive. Thanks for the video!

hey man-- long time no see. just wanted to let you know that i'm STILL struggling with Origin PC and their replacement part program. i've come to believe that they are actively scamming their customers. beware FOR ANY PURCHASES you make from them. it's been more than a year since you've helped me with my custom build from them, and they have been nothing but horrendous in their response. i may actually have to take legal recourse. anyways. would have really enjoyed geeking out with you the past year on your vids, but this has jaded my entire approach to tech/gaming... everything. it sucks, man. hope you are well.

Lloyd M oh man! Its good to hear from ya but Im sorry youve had such a bad experience. Whats goin on with your machine now?

@@PCGoblin virtually the same stuff, man. i've gone through four different GPU's. i've sent it to florida (manufacturing/repair) and within a week of playing games it started giving me errors again. origin says it's a 'scaling' issue, and told me to turn off SLI. so now the money THEY said would be worth spending (an extra GPU and an SLI) is basically worthless. additionally, the computer rattles so loudly i can hear it in the other rooms. i've replaced each fan, and it continues to rattle. if i had time, this wouldn't be an issue-- but my mom has dementia, and i'm her only caretaker. this has been nothing but pure hell.

Lloyd M Thats rough. Im sorry. I wish I could help more. I can relate to the issues with your mom. Mine has mental issues as well and its just hard. I hope things get better. :)

@@PCGoblin thank you, man. on good days it's actually really easy to forget about the computer stuff. perspective is a huge deal. i wanted to get it so i could have an escape from stuff w/ my mom, but in some kind of weird way, it's actually turned into quite a solid lesson. health stuff humbles us all. i hope your mom is doing okay. i'll stop by and kick the can around when i can. thank you for all of your help!
