In this video I try out the Wellue Heart Monitor with artificial intelligence. I have no financial association with this company, but enjoy trying out new products in order to find a possible relevance to emergency medicine. In the end I was impressed with the quality of this product and felt that it could easily be the "poor man's Holter monitor".

ALL HOSPITALS NEED some of these. My heart goes crazy anytime and most of the time. I wish it could be fixed.

Wow! That gives so much more info than the Kardia Mobile. Of course it’s recording constantly, but what an amazing tool!

I have a Loop Recorder that is implanted just under the skin. It’s fairly small that I can’t see or feel it. It sends reports nightly from the base next to my bed. I have a remote to use if I have a “spell” that makes a note in the report my doctor receives. Your doctor decides how long to leave it in and believe the battery last 2 years. I think they do an ecg using a device over the implant but I’m not 100%. I just do what my doctor tells me.

Cath ten years ago.....damn. Looking for a good Zio patch alternative that I can wear running my ass off! How is the resolution on the EKG readouts? All the reviews thus far do not show close detail - is that an ST depression? Yeah...I'd wonder that myself! What is your professional opinion?

Is there any competitor that comes close to the analysis that this provides? Wellue's cheaper models only say "abnormal" but not what abnormality is detected. The Kardia only detects a few things. I'm searching for the options.

I'm not sure. I just had access and only limited my trial to this monitor.

I’d like to wear one of those for about 48 /72 hours . I have tachycardia and I take metoprolol for it . I’d like to do something more permanent though. Would this be a good start? I haven’t worn a halter in about 20 years.

I am not familiar with your condition but I have a loop recorder implant. Super fast and easy procedure and I have a base that plugs in the wall that transmits every night. Plus if I have a “spell” I have a remote I can press to mark the time in the report that my doctor gets and reviews on a regular basis. I guess it lasts about 2 years and it depends on how long the doctor wants to keep it there if/when you have it removed. It’s fairly small and I can’t feel or see it under my skin.

I began wearing another brand heart monitor 2 days ago. Looks similar and I will wear it for 2 wks and when an episode occurs, I press the button on it. I chose to manually make entries in a log book with each episode, indicating symptoms. It will be removed, placed in a self-mailer and sent to the company at the end of 2 weeks. It's not uncomfortable except I'm itching underneath it. This too shall pass,, I hope!

A great diagnostic tool @ that price point especially for lower income countries. In an average person's hand to aid a physician in capturing an event. TOTALLY. Caution though for all who might feel empowered with it. MD'S spend years learning subtle differences in EKG and ECHO data and can vastly differ in diagnosis. Never-the-less, accessible technology is awesome!!

@@lmellick At that pricepoint I think it might actually have a feasible chance of being utilized by communities in rural areas and in socioeconomically challenged communities in the world where they are often medically underserved. My only qualm is that it'd be nice to have the exterior ruggedized to prevent the unit from being damaged by accidental detachment or similar. Overall I think it's nice to see something that integrates technology at an reasonable pricepoint in medicine.

@@lmellick I live in AU, and even in US$ it seems a reasonable price, considering the cost of a mid range BP machine.

Very cool! I have a history of atrial fib but had open heart surgery for a l atrial myxoma and an ablation so I haven't had any since. I now worry about what I would do if I started with fibrillation again. Would this be a feasible use of this product?
@debracollins7741

I was diagnosed with a. flutter and had an ablation last Nov. My episodes of racing beats and severe SOB caused me to return for f/u 2 days ago. Was fitted with a Zio XT for 14 days. Seemed like flutter/tachycardia resolved after ablation but symptoms of moderately severe SOB, lightheartedness racing pulse returned several months ago. More tests scheduled and I pray it's just my fat, lazy, deconditioned, retired, broke down nurse body and not somthing serious. 🙏🏼
