Here me out. This place used to actually make quality food/patties on the regular. The problem is that with the rising popularity on Tik-Tok, they now are blessed with more customers than they can handle which leaves them with a quality control issue. If the owner would limit orders once they go past a certain limit, this would ensure that each patty gets made with the most love. They were once at the top of their game but have unfortunately started resting on their popularity which is something that most establishments fall victim too
All they have to do is be honest with the community and tell them they sold out for the day. You don't serve people bad or stale food. Also if tiktok made them so popular, they wouldn't be selling old food because it would be sold out and not sitting in a refrigerator getting old. This is not an excuse for what they served chime...and they did it with a smile on their face. I can't stand when people hide their bs in niceness...

Lot of places are like this (temporary wave of new customers that throws their SOP off) but we know our people lol mfs aint gonna wanna wait 40 minutes on a line thats already double digit (ppl be double parked waiting) some NEED those sales but i get yall points the customer is always right.

The Bronx has excellent affordable Latin food, the best is from the hole in the wall Kujifrito spots. Jackson Heights Queens good food but gotta know which ones to choose, there’s so many. Manhattan had good food way back in the 80’s and 90’s, early 2000’s… everything was better and more authentic. Lowkey I’m pissed at my city because of gentrification and loss of originality in the new millennium so I could be negatively biased, it is what it is.
If you do what safe serve certification you know after 4 hours you should replace food. People who own restaurants don't always do that. Or maybe they mix old with new which is cross contamination. It's all about MONEY!

All the influencers who reviewed this spot told the restaurant they were popular on social media. So the restaurant makes their food fresh and free. These influencers are fake and would never say a place was bad bcuz they are greedy liars.

This is the first time Chime went somewhere I’ve been!!! We enjoyed our bbq chicken Mac patty! We enjoyed the goat curry Mac patty! The Oxtail Mac patty was good too ( not as good as the other two). All of our food was fresh when we went. And like you said, the customer service was friendly and they were so sweet!!! I feel so bad, for them and you, that you didn’t get fresh food! There system sucked though. Unnecessarily slow making long lines for no reason. I hope they learn and grow.
Fresh is a huge issue with america ... A lot of things would rock if they used fresh and good quality ingridians ... As a greek myself , in mediterenian cousin thats the key factor ,i think thats why a lot of americans surprised when they taste our daily cousin , reason is that homemade, fresh and most of all simple is the main factor , i can make you a patty with half of that ingridients and be 100 times tastier cause the sources and the quality are fresh and simple, love your videos man ❤

That's is their whole business it shouldn't be a current time to go get fresh food. The food should always be fresh. Why would you settle for someone half assing when it comes to your food?
I'm shocked! I have heard wonderful things about them and I planned to make a trip there. I'm very disappointed but I welcome your honesty. I will still go but now I know what to expect.
I would say for me, stuffing mac n cheese randomly into sammiches is already a red flag for me. Youre just trying to mask something money wise, food wise, or aesthetically. Otherwise if its about good mac n cheese, give it to me on the side to buy. I could concoct a stuffed mac n cheese bbq chicken patty for sure with ease, but that ole yellow mac ish is bare minimum. But with that said, most restaurants are a bunch of kitchen from hell first timers that have no clue about the business aspect of it. Got family and friends in there trying to help them live their dream, with an overstuffed menu, mounting debt, not tracking and properly storing their food. For instance that bbq chicken and mac and cheese beef patty was gross, and I'd hate to see the behind the scenes on that. For those chunks of chicken to get like that. Someone at best just stored it open in a fridge for hours on hours or days to dry it out like that, after already being probably over cooked. then dumped it on a top, tossed it with some sauce a bit during the reheat and figured it was okay, because also the mac n cheese is in there to mask the garbageness. Aired out shrimp too. These people dont know what theyre doing. Id probably be disappointed with their food safety too, if youre too lazy to even simply put a top on leftovers. Like good lord. I also dont want leftover shrimp. Shrimp has to be made to order. All of these sammiches should have no hydration issues and made to order. A stale jamaican patty????? Like wtf is happening here. I dont care if they had huge smiles of gratitude on their faces. Dont serve me trash. ITS 2023. Its so easy to not do bad when it comes to cooking right now. lmfao. SO EASY.
Sorry I missed you bro, I was there on Monday, for in from Florida. This is my old stomping grounds so I was super excited to get back to Queens and try this. Unfortunately it was super Mid. I wanted to like the so so bad, like Chime said if they used used fresh ingredients this would have been so much better. When he says the owners are nice, they really are, but it didn't help the food
I was thinking of going to this place, but I looked up the price for a beef patty mac with oxtail and said 'nope.' I bought spicy beef patties from the supermarket and when my mom made mac and cheese and oxtails, I put it on the patty and it was 🔥.
Yooo thats crazy because the oxtail mac was 🔥 before the hype. Maybe they ran out of steam. They need to have a huddle and just refresh themselves or something. This is crazy to see it even look like this.
