Everyone wants to shit on this movie, but honestly I don't think it's bad at all. As a standalone martial Arts action movie it's pretty standard but has great action scenes. As an adaptation I think it's better than people give it credit. They got the basic premise & plot points of the story, all the characters are true to thier videogame designs, (which most by movies don't even bother to attempt) yeah they made changes to the details, but are we seriously gonna stop and proclaim freaking TEKKEN as the pinnacle of story telling?? THE SAME STORY THAT HAS A BOXING DINOSAUR??

They got Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, who played Shang Tsung in the live action Mortal Kombat movie, to play Heihachi in this movie. That was the only cool thing about this movie. Also, THIS SHITTY MOVIE GOT A PREQUEL FILM SOMEHOW!

Biggest disappointment of this movie for me was Miguel Instead of a mountain of a man from Spain with a temper a Mile long and a fighting style that is basically him beating the shit out of you, we got some generic regular sized guy doing martial arts Fucking weak

let's be frank, the games plotline aren't much better since in every entry everything that established in previous game immediately gets retconned in the next entry. like even 17 years into the franchise and i still can't tell what the fuck are heihachi motivations exactly, like in tekken 1 to 4 he wanted the devil powers, in 5 and 6 he wants world domination and in 7 he wants to... Destroy the devil gene and thats why he throw his... son... to test out if has the devil or not, but i thought the point was to prove himself as worthy son.... idk lol also i expect MK annihilation for the next video GOD DAMMIT

What I find funny is that the movie is essentially the Hunger Games. but yeah, if he would have switched Marshall Law and Brian Fury it pretty much would've been beat for beat barring the part where all the fighters get arrested
