I'd been away for 10 weeks and a couple of cartridges had dried out, and I got the B200 message. I removed the printhead and put it in a bowl with 1/2 inch of warm water in it, and let the caked-in ink dissolve and wash out. I moved the head around gently in the water and changed the water several times until it remained almost clear. After drying the printhead with a lint-free cloth, I put it back in the printer and it now works fine. I recommend this fix.

my printer broke with this error when i used wireless LAN as before i was using direct connection. I was using direct connection for 5 yrs.. I moved recently then was hooking stuff back up and decided to try wireless Lan and boom after the first print I did.. I got U052.. did you use wireless? or direct plug in connection? this means this entire Model printer is defect but they are still selling them. I have yet to see anyone fix this
I got a free Canon Pro 1 printer. I plug it it and get the B200 error. I can't install the driver on either of 2 computers. I've never any movement internally when plug it in, only the yellow light blinking. Should I: 1. Disassemble and try to soak/clean the print head? 2. Declare defeat and move onto another project. Open to other thoughts and suggestions how to get this running, or to walk away. I can't move the print head even with the power off.
Hi. Unfortunately, if you tried cleaning printhead manually and the b200 error is still there, you will need a new printhead. This printer has an expensive printhead.
Most likely, the printhead error is causing the carrier to be stuck. You may need to open up the printer and remove printhead, then the carrier will move. You will most likely need a new printhead.

Hi. There are pins on the cartridge carrier that detect ink. Look in there and see if one of the pins is damaged, dirty, or pressed in. Let me know how that goes. I will try to explore more and play with the Canon Printer I have to find a solution for you.
I am surprised this video didn't get more views/likes/comments like the other one I saw here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9-qlcZ2ekvk.htmlsi=14_fXWwP-YXWsPsq with instructions for manual deep cleaning of printhead, that method involves rinsing and soaking printhead in hot water, then soaking it in 91% rubbing alcohol and drying overnight (don't submerge green circuit board in water/alcohol). This worked temporarily for my Pixma MX922 but will probably need new printhead anyway LOL. Whatever you do, make sure to wear gloves through the process!!!
