The "I only ever tolerated you for the sake of others" line is probably just guilt trip, kinda like "We never were friends... don't tell that to other Sanses." line. Not honest, just pure guilt trip and frustration with failed attempts across timelines to stop you.
That's not what ut sans says at all? he says if IIRC"if we're really friends, you're not coming back", and that happens if you spare him on the geno fight.
@@RaphielShiraha64 but if you come back and attack him, he guilt trips you for doing so, since he told you if you don't come back that means you're friends.
@@seandorama5932 If you Don't try pacifist, he would be able to tell he dunked you on by your expression (or just more aggression probably). If you then did Pacifist Route, he would only have the post-reset deja vu and maybe he would notice something in your expression, so, not really.
It’s the fact that he just walks up to you instead of pulling his usual creepy “teleports behind you” schtick. Dude put all of the theatrics and jokes aside and calmly stated “Yeah, no, I hate you in *_every_* timeline.”
there is also if you keep dying. for example one time before throwing you in the air he says "look you're an airplane!" then once he lifts you he just says nyoom or other stuff
When I think about it , sans mentioning that his tolerance is satire makes me think that he is just guilt tripping you. Not that he actually despised you always - but the fact that he knows about the existence of saving and loading so he decides to say things he doesn’t mean as a threat. Kinda like that part from the original game where he says something along the lines of ‘wow you look REALLY pissed off , guess we never really were friends huh? Just don’t tell the other sans I said that’
The Sans writing in this is perfectly in liine with UT's, even when he's been serious or reading you like an open book he's still cracking jokes. In a normal run, it's just to have a goos time, in ruthless, is to mock you even more.
@@Bracken40 Nah he still could hate you in pacifist. You’re still technically the same kid, same powers, you can befriend or kill literally anyone, and he hates it. I just don’t think we’ve gotten THAT far in pacifist where he might actually enjoy your company yet
@lemons38 Remember that he set that whole thing up just so he could play games with papyrus like "back then" He could very well just be putting up a act. BUTTT all this would mean he remembers every timeline, which is confirmed that he doesn't in cannon. But hey, crossbones could be different from the sans we know.
@@alextheidiot8071 Sans always gave you the benefit of the doubt, even in Undertale he talks about how at first he thought the anomaly was just lonely.
Is that you? I met a real critic on deviant art under one of Crimson-Heartsss comics criticizing undertale rather reasonably, due to plot holes and noticeable imperfections. But I also discussed with another person. Really hates games criticizing the player, called the monsters rednecks, and the only Kirby game he played was Epic Yarn. If this isn’t you, disregard this message I’m sorry that I broke our promise, but please, don’t take out your spite on our generation just because a minority of us bullied you. I believe in your dream of a more honest world. I just want you to know… you’ll do great!
First of all, this is a fangame that isn't affiliated with the official thing Second of all, if you're referring to the words and tone themselves, then you're ignoring like 70% of the game's dialogue to come away with "pretentious" because it's extremely casual and focuses on comedy whenever possible. Or if you mean the themes/story of the game... I don't know what to tell you if you think "hey maybe don't intentionally hunt down and murder an entire race of people for the lols" is pretentious
