Hope you are all doing well, I’m glad to be back with a new video. Although this video is not a proper update video (which I plan to do), I am excited to share this unboxing of The Superior Labor Engineer Bag in XS from Baumkuchen.
It is the perfect work bag and I hope to do a follow-up review in the next few weeks.
I will be sharing snapshots and updates of this bag on my IG.

yay what a beautiful bag! 😍 I've been obsessed with watching videos of TSL bags and products recently, and I'm so excited to see you got the XS engineer bag from BK! I got this size in one of their paint combos (no leather bottom) a few years ago, and I was also surprised at how roomy it was, and your video is inspiring me to want to use it more. I really love that you got a leather bottom one, and I feel like that would help with its structure and durability too ~ I think they didn't have any leather bottom ones in stock back when I ordered, so I completely hear you on wanting to make the order before they run out and have to restock again! such a beautiful purchase, and I'm looking forward to seeing your follow-up review too 🤩

I've been using it everyday for work and I'm just obsessed with it. The size is just perfect. I would love to see you do a video on yours! I'm enjoying the slow patina and the canvas is getting softer bit by bit. I always rotate my bags but I hope to be in this bag for a long time. Also been watching all the videos on it 😅

I have been using this everyday as a work bag and I put everything I need in it, it’s just the perfect size. I love how it’s starting to get softer and show wear already. Definitely a great addition to anyone’s TSL collection :)

You make me want all the TSL things! I think I need to get this for my birthday too! Do you think the 16 inch macbook fits in this XS size?? I don't know how you have the discipline to wait so long to unbox this gorgeous bag, but I'm so glad you do! This was such a treat to watch. I'm surprised by how much fits and we use the same exact water bottle so that was super helpful in visualizing the size. I'm so glad to see you are back, I've missed your long form videos so much!

I think you will love this bag too! The 16" will probably be a bit snug especially with a padded case over it. I do not have a 16" to test unfortunately; but the 13" leaves much space for a larger laptop. It might not fit as comfortably though. What is the width of your laptop? Happy birthday! It's probably my most memorable gift to myself because it's my first TSL bag. Now I'm hooked!! Yikes. It's the danger zone.

😊❤ Thank you for sharing! I also purchased this one as a birthday gift to myself. Birthday was in January. I just need to pick it up. I received the email that it’s ready. Can’t wait to go there. Also slightly worried because I know I’ll want to purchase other things while I’m there 😅😬 I also ordered the leather pen case with the clip they’ve been out of for a while. Excited for that one as well. I have another one of their tote bags that’s like a purse/tote black canvas, leather bottom and it comes with the long leather handle already attached. It was a preorder. I noticed the leather bottom for that one had a different patina as well. This one doesn’t have the leather pocket on the side like the usual ones.

The pen clip case you mentioned I wanted to get for so long too but I didn't see it when I ordered the bag! Ah wells. Enjoy your new bag! I'm absolutely loving mine.

@@toxmotThank you!! Happy Birthday to you as well!! 🎈🎉😃 Whenever I’m on their website, I always check the “Restock” section because I’ve been wanting that long leather pen holder for a while now. I just checked, it’s sold out again unfortunately. I’m going this Sunday 😁 I’m super excited! I almost considered purchasing the Khaki bag with the light pink bottom but I couldn’t. I really don’t like pink 😅 for me, it looks beautiful on others. I thought about painting over the pink with black fabric paint but decided not to. I would have been super upset if I messed it up.

@@Aqua_Metztli_Janus Lucky you get to visit in person! Shipping cost and import fees are a killer since I'm in the great North (plus currency conversion). The khaki wth pink is so pretty too, I seriously considered it but prefer black 🙂 Enjoy your time there!

You could use a sticky fabric roller to get the fluffy bits off. I use them all the time on my delfonics totes.

Gorgeous! Been eyeing an TSL tote for a while now. Just wondering if this xs bag is heavy? I also pack a lot A4, water bottle etc. So was hoping it wouldn’t be too heavy like 700g+ before it’s even packed.

With any bag, the more you put, the heavier it gets but this bag is not heavy for me compared to other leather bags. I used to carry the Longchamp City Tote in coated canvas and omg it was soooo heavy! This bag is no where near heavy like that. The leather strap provides comfort because it is soft. I’m delightfully surprised by this bag especially hearing from others that it is heavy on the shoulder. I mostly carry it over my shoulder. If I have lots of stuff in it, crossbody would feel more heavy. If I carry a lot, I can feel the leather strap stretch a tiny bit because it’s soft. Everything is very strong and well made though. I hope that helps. And before it’s even packed, it is light :) The canvas is not the very heavy kind.

Beautiful bag! I think you'll get a lot of use out of that, for a long time. I think the design is printed on that way so it will look kind of like white chalk art on a black chalkboard. That's what it reminds me of, anyway - like a cafe where they have someone put the menu onto a chalkboard with fancy lettering and artistic designs.

That's very true, it does look better with a distressed faded look. Been using the bag everyday and I could totally see myself using it for years. It just feels so right 🙂

I have the all-leather version in compact size which is exclusive to Nomado store & the size is between your bag & mini version. I put the tag at the side where the strap is so I’m not bumping it (preference). That fluff is coming from the handle & since you’ve attached the strap, there as well too. Because the leather parts are untreated, my husband burnished the edges of the handle, strap & the leather tag with tokonole so it has that glazing thing that you see in leather. I mostly wear dark shirts & from time to time I’d get that fluff but its not as like before. I’ve had the bag for 7months & the patina is so nice & the leather still smells nice as if it was new. I’m waiting for Baum-kuchen’s restock of their analog size with leather bottom & get their nylon strap.

I was so close to getting the analogue leather bottom one! I didn't because I was worried it was a bit small for work (I carry a lot more nowadays). I'm glad I waited for the XS. The full leather one is gorgeous! Will be a lifetime piece..all of TSL stuff is so 😍 what a great idea to burnish the edges! 😊 Also, I moved the tag charm to the side too.
