I'm torn between this and the panda. Capacity of panda seems better for my use but I like the claypot function of the Tsuki.

is the claypot function of Tzuki different from Panda then ? Does claypot refer to a programme on the Tzuki or the material of the cooking pot ?

Where can I get a Tsuki in the USA? Been looking and can’t seem to find it anywhere!

I purchased mi Tsuki 2 months ago. Been using it everyday and it always coocks the rice to perfection. I had to adjust the water quantity depending on the grain used. I found that same amount of water as rice works perfect in most cases. Using the bowls marks is too soft.

Hi, it's probably the rice you are using. A lot of rice for sale in the UK and Europe has been precooked. Any basmati rice with a cooking time of less than 15 minutes on the packet or jasmine/Hom Mali rice with a cooking time of less than 18-20 minutes on the packet have been precooked. The lines on our bowls are calibrated for uncooked, raw rice, so when you cook rice that's been precooked it can need less water or it just doesn't cook right. There's always the possibility that the rice you have isn't precooked and is a new crop of rice which means it needs less water. Of course, there's no way of knowing whether your rice is a new or old crop.

is it true you have to not get the outside of the clay pot wet while cleaning or it will start to smell ?

Hi, that's correct. We do not advise you get the outside of the inner bowl wet.

can you make ssushi rolls in this or cook Sushi rice ?

Hello. There is no such rice grain as 'sushi rice' . To make sushi you use a good short grain rice grain such as Koshihikari to make sushi - from that you can then rolls. Tsuki has a short grain rice function for this purpose.

Hi I've just buy Tsuki, but there isn't the brown indicator for water ... so how many water for the maximum vol of brown rice (1,5 cup) ??? tnx

Hi, there are markings for brown rice and rice porridge on Tsuki's bowl, please look on the other side opposite the lines for long and short grain

Size so much better than the Fuji, but shame it's technologically inferior.

Hi, it's not inferior technology at all - it's just not induction heating. Not everyone wants an induction heating rice cooker and the induction coils are large and they are not available in the size that would be required for Tsuki. This is also why Fuji is a larger physical size for the 4 cup capacity. Tsuki is a full function advanced fuzzy logic rice cooker, due to it's size it can't have certain features like steaming because the bowl is too small to have a steaming basket
