please can you do a recipes in the yum Asia and post them here on you tube, and i would be interested to know if you can cook a cottage pie with tempured glass into the Yum Asia. I love mine its so versatile but would love to see more receipts .
Hello. We have lots of recipe videos on You Tube (just follow our channel) but not for cottage pie which cannot be made in a rice cooker and glass should not be used in our cookers.
You should shred the meat and mix the sauce while it’s still inside the pot. That way you can mix it all up without making a mess and leaving all the flavor behind on the cutting board like an idiot. Also, by doing it in the pot you are able to pull the metal liner out, put plastic wrap over the top and keep it in the fridge so you can simply scoop it out as needed and live off it all week.
Hello and thank you for the tip. Yes you could shred the meat in the inner bowl but you have to be extremely careful not to scratch/damage the coating of the bowl. This is why we generally advise this to be done outside of the pot. Happy cooking!
@@YumAsia It’s already falling apart when it comes out and all you need is a plastic spatula and large plastic cooking spoon so there is ZERO danger in scratching it. I know because I’ve done it many times over the past couple years. So my method is still the best.
Hi, What do I do when I press the start button and it won't start? It's a panda and after selecting from the menu the start botton lights up but it doesnt work
We cannot provide after-sales support via RU-vid comments. Can you please contact us via the e-mail address in the user manual along with your order number and details of the issue. We will then be able to help.
Hello. In what way do you find the video makes no sense? The link for the exact recipe and instructions are in the description. The video is to show you briefly about making the soup.
Hi. No it beeps when the rice is ready and what it does is make fantastic rice using advanced fuzzy logic which we feel is more important than a tune. We do sell Zojirushi rice cookers that play a tune at the end of cooking but many of our customers eventually turn this feature off as they find it annoying and Zojirushi rice cookers only use basic fuzzy logic for their rice cooking profiles. Happy Cooking!
@@YumAsia I'd also like to find a deeper steaming tray. I don't always need to cook rice at the same time, so losing that benefit is not a problem to me. Whereas being unable to steam many types of foods is more of a hindrance.
How do you season your rice properly? How much salt do you add? How much oil? Do you add any aromatics like cinnamon sticks or cumin seeds…etc ? Cooking rice with no seasoning at all is very bland. Recommendations are welcome
Hi. Rice is not boring or plain without flavour if you cook it correctly. This common perception comes from people who use simple 'boil the rice' techniques which leeches the flavour and nutrients, destroys any texture and kills the aroma. If rice is cooked with our multi phased cooking then the flavour is not boiled away, the chemical properties are changed and the umami hit is intensified with good texture and aroma intensity. If you like rice seasoned then consider our pages here on our greedy panda blog which gives you lots of ideas about how to season your rice. greedy-panda.com/2020/06/easy-seasoning-mix-recipes/ greedy-panda.com/2023/05/easy-rice-seasoning-mix-recipes-part-2/
@@YumAsia awesome, I’ll give it a try without salt on my yumasia bamboo 😊 I’ve always used salt with rice so this will be quite a departure for me. Thank you for responding so kindly!
@@YumAsia one question though, how do you advise I cook basmati rice specifically to maximize flavor? Just wash thoroughly and then use the Yumami button?
There's an awful lot of cleaning to do once the rice is cooked, and not just the bowl. Surely the stainless steel steam vent on the lid will need cleaning else mould will grow?
Hi, i was wondering if you could kindly suggest which model, the best of your range, for a family of 4( 2 young children, who enjoy rice dishes),? Regards Andrei
Hi, What rice cooker do you have? Is it a Panda or one of our other rice cookers? For example, if you have a Sakura or Bamboo rice cooker you need to hold the START button for 3 seconds to activate cooking. This is a safety feature with this touch panel to prevent accidental turning on of the cooking. Please contact us if you are still having difficulty but we think you probably have a Sakura rice cooker in which case you should be long holding the START button to activate cooking. Happy cooking!
Hello. There is no such rice grain as 'sushi rice' . To make sushi you use a good short grain rice grain such as Koshihikari to make sushi - from that you can then rolls. Tsuki has a short grain rice function for this purpose.
I just received mine and it is incredible. Once i test cooked 1cup to flush the new smell of the machine, i immediately cooked the max cup limit and stored it away after it finished. Lovely rice, no sticking or burning.
CIAO, Il video mostra un breve sguardo su come farlo in un cuociriso. Per istruzioni dettagliate puoi trovare il link della ricetta nella descrizione del video o visitare greedy-panda.com/2023/05/butternut-squash/
why can't you put directions in the manual for white long rice? not everyone can see the lines inside the teflon container. very annoying that I have to google it instead
Hello, to answer your questions: 1. There are instructions in the user manual for how to cook rice, this can be found in section 3.3.1 Cooking Rice in Panda 2. We no longer have stamped lines in the bowl, they are silk print lines and have been for over 2 years now. This video was filmed before we had silk print lines on the bowl. 3. Our bowls are not Teflon, we do not Teflon, our bowls have a ceramic coating. 4. You didn't have to Google, the instructions are in the user manual, as mentioned and we are available by e-mail to answers any questionss and we have a comprehensive help centre with knowledge base on our website.
Hi. Thank you for your interest in Yum Asa Sakura rice cooker. We have many Sakura product info videos on our Yum Asia You Tube channel. Please search and you will find them. This video is to show how to use Sakura. For example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jk7nqDWpv5U.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EyUzGiglXIc.htmlfeature=shared
Hi, yes you can. Bamboo has a crust setting for Tahdig. We have a recipe here cooked in Sakura, but it's the exact same process for Bamboo - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GMfIxEbp3sU.html
Hi, you can remove only the removable inner lid, as demonstrated on this video at 0:33 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SBpiX9e1Apo.htmlfeature=shared You cannot remove any other part of the lid.
I cook today 3rd time. Basmati. 1 cup of rise and 1.5 cup of water. They are soft.but dry. Even stuck to the bottom and even more dry there. So. Im not happy at all
Hi, it's very difficult to help you via RU-vid comments, you need to contact us as we detail in the user manual for any questions. At a guess, we would say it's the rice you are using that's the problem but it's difficult to know without any further information.
@@ohsoleohmio Hi, again, you need to contact us through our support channels. You Tube is not our support channel. Your issue could be that you are using easy or quick cook or sella rice or something else (wrong function selected, wrong user process etc) but we can't easily help you here. Thank you
Does the rice on the bottom get a bit more dry than on the Sakura or Panda? Since the Shinsei bowl is so thick and retains heat for longer maybe it gets more dry at the bottom?
It does. I get a very small skin on the bottom of my rice but it's actually quite nice to eat. You can of course scoop the rice out leaving the skin at the bottom if you don't like it, or you can mix it all in.
Hi, no you cannot cook cake in Tsuki, it doesn't have a cake setting because the ceramic bowl is not suitable for cooking cake. The recipes in our Greedy Panda cook book can be used in any rice cooker, you will just need to scale the ingredients to the size of Tsuki.
@YumAsia thank you very much for your helpful advice!! I really love it and use it everyday! One last question: Is there any other restriction for Tsuki Mini ?
All of our recipes can be made in any of our rice cooker models. Simply adjust the scale of the recipe to the capacity of rice cooker you have. For example, if the recipe is for a 5.5 cup Kumo rice cooker you can just half the recipe ingredients for the Tsuki rice cooker (and the Panda rice cooker too).
