For Sofia, it was the most important and difficult fight of her life. But for Makoto, it was a Tuesday.

So much action that nuking Fort Stella from the capital was basically a foot-note in the whole episode.

My reason for why Makoto is my favorite protagonist is because he is the perfect middle ground (personality wise) between Ains and Rimuru!

Our skeleton boy was on fire in this episode 🔥, here hoping to see more his action with Mio and Tomoe in later arcs

I thought it was interesting that Makoto knew he was being watched by Luto. I thought we would see a reaction from Luto once he said that. It is also interesting how Hibiki is piecing stuff together, Hibiki and Makoto's meet might be sooner than later so I am curious to see how that'll eventually go.

I mean the production team probably had to extend Makoto's fight. If I recall correctly, Makoto fired a single arrow at Sophia at the end with an energy comparable to the nuke he fired at fort Stella and it was over. He kept on nonchalantly tanking her hits while shit-talking rest of the battle.

Sofia thought if she did the whole "I am the bone of my sword.." it'll help her, but Makoto wasn't fazed.

They really should have be more prepared than being so aggressive, but of course they didn't believe Makoto would come and ruin their days without even breaking his rings seal or pulling out all of his card

Sofia _really_ didn't think about what pulling Makoto into Lancer's domain would mean. Or maybe she didn't expect him to immediately comprehend how the place worked and target the swords. Still, moving the fight to a place where you are harmed by collateral damage, knowing what happened last fight? Well, nobody called her the _smartest_ adventurer.

And Makoto saying that he was an Archer and not a warrior or a mage i got reminded of Archers "I was a mage not an archer" in UBW.

the thing about tsukimichi that people dont get is that, the series treats its world as a living world with its own direction and stories. and the main character is not part of it. in most isekai anime and manga, things happen because of the MC, either because he is involved, or because someone asked them for help and they got involved. in here, makoto's story happens and the world continues to follow its ways. the demon's plans didnt involve him, and he didnt really stop them(for the most part), he gave them a way out, because he doesnt really care either way. the irony is, makoto doesnt feel a conection to this place, and in many ways, its all a fake land with fake people. some of them he cares about, but most can all die in a fire and he wouldnt be bothered. he isnt a hero, meanwhile the heroes are basically caricatures of the traditional isekai protagonists. with tomoki being the harem mc with a legion of women at his beck and call, while hibiki is the "good doer" who goes around "helping" everyone and trying to save hyumanity. while makoto is just a guy trying to live his life, while wishing he could go back to his world.

The other really were lacking severely even with them having a better start then Makoto, he the one who progressing leap ahead of them

Poor Shiki is probably gonna be bullied for struggling against one the strongest creatures in the world by the other strongest creatures in the world who happen to be his new family. I'm just glad my boy got much more shine this season.

It's funny how Sofia got so much more confident after Lancer died and she gained his power and yet begged Makoto not to exorcise the swords in that dominion. She had completely lost to Makoto and even with the Japanese sword, it was futile. We don't even see her actually being killed, it happens off screen. Unless she's still alive, but I don't think Makoto would show her mercy at this point.

So if anyone wants to pick up source material: manga is behind anime, LN started releasing official translation this year, but AFAIK only 3 volume are released yet (this episode is in volume 10). There is unofficial translation that you can find online, keep in mind it's not ideal, but it's better then nothing. If you want to read it, this episode ended at chapter 163. I will say - so far I've read few chapters ahead and it's a shame there is only 1 episode left, because there is some very interesting things happening if only they had like 1 or 2 episodes more to spare.

THEY MISSED THE BEST ONE LINER! Just before UBW when Sofia is saying Makoto is taking it easier on her and she has learnt not to do that the she asks Makoto if his attitude to the fight could be anything but 'negligence and conceit' and makoto just replies with one word 'Leeway'.

By this point, Makoto is breaking Sonic The Hedgehog's record for how many times he's fallen out of the sky.

Still couldn't even leave behind a Sofia eh? 2/10 for looks alone and for Lancer well i assume he wouldn't be needing any score count 😅

Trust me Brandon, from here, it picks up heavy. The events after this set up one very heavy path for him

Best episode. Hands down, it was literally shiro vs gilgamesh. But honestly even better in it's own way. Then the other stuff. Just best episode.

Loved how Makoto disrespected Sofia during their entire battle. He was giving it back 10 fold from that time she sliced his fingers. Shiki was amazing this episode. Happy to see him being OP instead of comic relief.

It's so refreshing to see an MC who actually finished their fight. None of this "hey you've tried to kill me multiple times now but I'm gonna let you get away again." Makoto just gets straight to the point "yeah you've tried to murder me twice now, not gotta ask about your life story, I'm just going to end you."

There's still a lot unresolved. The mysterious demi human demon collaborator in Rothgard, the princess and hero of Gritonia's schemes, whoever it was that the Goddess was avoiding( described as someone from the original world?) The 2 sisters rebuilding Kanelon(or whatever it's called), and let's not forget does Mio perfect her magic bullet and kill that snake dude? I doubt all questions will be answered next Ep, so damn right there better be a 3rd season

Sofia went through an entire off screen training arc, got a bunch of new powers, a transformation, and unlocked UBW just to do all of 0 damage to Makoto.

He's already started to act like a disconnected God with a slightly Sociopathic disinterest in everyone human, hyuman or non-monster.

Lancerepitomized "Live by the sword, die by sword." That was an interesting and cool power set. I'm curious to see the direction Shiki goes in getting more power. More rings? As for Sofia and Makoto, he really went, no, you're locked in here with me. And he remembered to double-tap. I honestly thought Makoto would head over to Fort Stella and wreck shop b/c the demons wouldn't be keeping their word, but they actually did.

I don't know if you picked it up but the ending was a last middle finger to the goddess She wanted fort stella to be taken by the humans he turned it into a crater

As someone who’s read the web novel this feeling continues a bit further he always amazes but the setup never stops It’s like slime level of setup and that’s a good thing

Remember this from the manga... the bit i saw of it anyway. He gets to like lvl 4 when he one shots their equivalent to a big bad mega boss monster. Then his power is surpassing the goddess.

Makoto tries to be a 'good' person as he learned growing up, but deep down he is very different in nature. we see hits here and there, like when he was young and saw a dead animal, or the hyman that caused the orcs and tomo fragment death, and this fight.

I already can't wait to see how Season 3 unfolds! I need more moments with best girl Tomoe. 😁🙏

Season 2, like the arcs in the WN, was partially relation, character building, partially action. From here on in the WN, the arcs mix development with action. A lot goes on.

Haveing gotten bit by the story quite a while ago and found some tts audiobooks on youtube and some sites to listen to at work all im saying im looking forward to a certain meeting and a couple of fights that is quite a ways away if memory serves me right but anyways love the show and i cant wait untill the next season And also wow this spring anime season has been quite the banger tsukimichi slime tensei and mushoku tensei with quite the rough episode on fathers day of all days

I was surprised that there will be more than 24 episode. Not that I am complaining.

My only thing is that aside from like a couple more battles going forward, this was probably the best season we're going to get in terms of satisfying action. The power creep is starting to set in a little bit, so I can see the show going a little more political for a while so that his strength doesn't become the focus.

I wonder if Hibiki is slowly realizing that "the Devil/"sorcerer" with the cosplay suit" is actually the boss of Kuzunoha Trading Company. She at least seemed to figure out that "Super Sentai dude"(Makoto) must've been from her own world, so it will be interesting to see in the distant future when she eventually meets Makoto face to face, recognizes her old kouhai, and possibly reaches the conclusion that it was *him* helping them out during this incident. Remember, Makoto actually wanted his involvement in this kingdom to NOT become common knowledge, so I wonder how much diplomatic problems that would cause him if Hibiki not only figured out it was him, but also considered revealing that to someone.

If Sofia is really dead then it would be the second time they kill a character before they could have a satisfactory arc for their lifes, first with Hopleis, not being able to reconcile with Lyria, and now Sofia not having his fight with Luto or getting to meet up with her childhood friend that's one of Makoto's students, in another series blue hair dude would safe Sofia from her shackles of revenge, altho Sofia was pretty far gone when it comes to evil, she had an aliance with Lancer and they had killed and executed many innocent people by now, so she past the point of redemption, altho taking into consideration that Mio and Tomoe probably have a bigger kill count, maybe she wasn't too far from redemption for this series. XD

What Lancer and Sofia Bulga gave us were bootleg versions of Gate of Babylon and Unlimited Blade Works from the Fate series lol

If you liked Shiki's fight then I recommend you read the Novel, there is more going on in this fight than it seems in the anime.

Lancer trying to use Archer's power against Archer aside... how pissed are Tomoe and Mio going to be when they find out Shiki was able to fight a greater dragon with Makoto without them? Tomoe especially.

I was not expecting the UBW reality marble. I hope it gets another season. But i wanted more Tomoe and Mio. They got little screen time.

What can i say.... Archer met Neo-Archer and the better Archer one, this was just quality time and again, everything is falling into place and popping off one arrow after another!, the beatdown, jjust went from bad to aw damn she gonna get cooked and served. S3 can't come soon enough!!

We never got a conclusion of Mio's fight and hopefully they'll cover that next week. That is unless I missed it.

Also i wanted to add, Makoto learned a lot during this time period. It was one of the things that was kinda skipped over during this season sadly. I mean they all learned new stuff. Even Emma learned a lot, which was left out of the anime as well sadly.

I agree the goddess wont leave him alone permanently, she'll find some "loop hole" excuse to try to fuck with him again! And speaking of fucking around and find out lancer got demolished by shiki. As for the meeting between the Hibiki and makoto, she's diffidently starting to piece some things together , and she did buy the weapon from his shop before it was was .....ah.....erased from the planet. A meeting between them will be interesting when it happens, it'll be a more pleasent meeting than with the other fuk face "hero", that's for sure. I'm already hyped for season 3 hahhahahaha

"One big Fate reference..." Every major player in this episode has voiced at least one character in the Fate franchise. Sofia's voice actress is particularly recognizable, as her voice for Sofia is nearly identical to her voice for Mordred. Needless to say, her "unlimited blsde works" scene was a little surreal...

From what I heard, Hibiki is a very manipulative character similar to the goddess. This is opposite to how she portrays herself. I wonder how they are going to depict this aspect as it is mostly coming from Makoto's viewpoint.

I understand why you'd see a lot of Fate references in this episode, but am I the only one who was reminded of JJK first? It's the part where Sofia makes that separate space with the swords that makes her stronger, which is the textbook definition of Domain Expansion. (especially the skills-in-the-swords bit; which is almost exactly a certain "main" character's Domain of JJK, no?)

Why is he hiding from the other heroes? He could have reveal himself to hibiki. A least now he can talk normal

The Goddess has no regrets in throwing Makoto away. She chooses her Heroes based on physical beauty and no other criteria. The Goddess doesn't care about how powerful they are, she gives them powers that will let them do what she expects. Heroes are just there to entertain the Goddess. If they aren't strong enough, she'll just throw more pawns to support them. The reason Tomoki is so powerful is because the Goddess desperately wanted the pretty boy she found and used powers to lure him into the contract. The powers she gave him are absolutely busted and other gods would admonish her if they ever noticed. Though in fact, the power she gave Makoto is worse from a deitie's perspective than what Tamoki got. Tamoki's powers can literally conque the world given enough time. The true language ability Makoto got is a path towards becoming a god. And the Goddess giving out all these gifts is normal for her. She squanders her power on frivolous things so when something happens she can't use her own power to solve anything. Because she is broke.

Lancer a big talker but one of the weakest greater Dragons kinda ironic and wad so confident he could kill a follower of the "sorcery" but failed at that and lost to a lich that's not even close to Tomoe strength and one of Makoto weakest pillars so sad but I heard we actually have 2 more episodes it'll be a 26 not 25 episode season also I was kinds of wondering why he didn't just destroy the space after all he undoubtedly has the power to do so.

The second season was underwhelming and boring. It’s was just a regular cliche isekai sadly. Main character and his team are all overpowered and everyone else is weak. A whole episode dedicated showing us how overpowered they’re when we already know that. First season was a lot better but I don’t like it here types of shows when the main character and his group suffers no challenges in fighting. They could’ve just have Sofia and lancer be beaten the first 5mins of the episode then have the last 20 or so mins with wrap up rather than dragging out a battle when the outcome was already known. Make mc/mc group opponents scared and struggle and show off how cool and op they are. Just another Anos and rimmiru

and there it is, the let down is complete, biggest let down of the year wow. This is what we waited 24 episodes for, this was the long awaited rematch we were all waiting for? Disappointed would be an understatement. At least in the finale of season 1 Lancer and Sofia felt like legitimate threats to Makoto's life, but here Lancer cant even beat Shiki and Sofia cant touch Makoto never mind scratch him, when last season she cut of his fingers. I cant believe they dragged this out for 24 episodes Compare it to 7th Prince, was Lloyd stronger than the demon lord? yes he was but at least you knew if he made one mistake then Demon dude was actually capable of killing him, here we just get a boring curb stomp. Yes we know Makoto is going to win but at least make him work for it.

i said it in the other video but the current color reminds me of something from .hack//sign and .hack//Quarantine called a "Guardian" which was this giant orange jelly dumbell with a pair of rings attatched to the center the thing was actually a murder machine though.
