Did you notice that it was squatting so hard that I thought the splitters were about to touch the pavement. The only WS6 T/A I have ever seen do that was my cousin’s 79 T/A 6.6 that had been converted to an automatic and had Hooker headers and a Holley 780 cfm on top. To get a TTA to put down that much power was very impressive. I had a 1980 Pace car and all my fiends had 79’s mostly with 403’s and couple of W72 400’s. Needless to say they slaughtered my little turbo 301. It was great to see a TTA run with the big dogs.
That's an awesome run Joe! Congratulations. Just got my first tta so when I can figure out my running issue I will definitely be in contact for some performance parts 👍
Wow !! that was impressive ! Bro, take the clutch fan off !! It will go 12.30's . Even more advantage with turbo ! Because the rpm can spin up faster. Your gonna have to put 3.42's in it and a 200R4 if you have not already
So far it has been holding up great. Others have gone just as fast and faster with 301 Turbo blocks with no issue. I think a lot of it has to do with knowing the engines limitation (low RPM etc) and keeping a safe tune.
Actually a transbrake doesnt put a load on the motor, it locks the transmission in first and reverse at the same time, no load is placed on the motor with just a transbrake. The 2-step will knock out a random cylinder when activated and will allow you to leave at a set rpm while holding the brake
