Where do you find the throttle limiter on the 2018 yamaha 110cc? My son's bike just doesn't go as fast as it should go. It also makes sputtering noises.
There isn't really a limiter that I know of except maybe the screw adjuster where the cable actually connects to the twist throttle. Check that the air filter is clean and if that is not the issue it could be a jetting problem. Also, I know it sounds stupid but you didn't leave the choke on by accident did you?
We bought it brand new in November for my son as a christmas gift. He rode it on christmas day and it was doing a sputtering sound like it didnt want to go any fast just wasnt right so we figured its maybe a throttle limiter. Before we brought it home they cleaned the carburetor and everything to make sure it was good to go. I just dont know why it's making a sputtering noise.
So this is a safe bike for a 9yr old child who has never road a motorcycle before? My baby boy wants one of these, I am kind of concerned that this maybe too fast for him.
Are you a good teacher? Then, I guess it depends on his skill. Is he good on a bicycle? Does he understand the concept of shifting gears? If he only rides it in the dirt he will never get that speed? I've worn a gps before when racing in the dirt and top speed was 39mph with the added resistance of the grass. How bad does he want it? Honestly if you get him the proper gear (boots, pants, shirt, knee pads helmet gloves and maybe elbow guards) there is little chance he will get hurt and you might dig it too.
@@brianrichard1768 Thanks, he is very excited about getting this bike. And I am just being a dad that wants him to have it but concerned about his safety. He is still so young. My baby boy traveling nearly 50mph and he is in complete control. Whew!!! I'll be sure to be there when to teach him where the brakes are at. 😄
