SWAG off road makes innovative products that makes other products work better than they do on their own. This Tubing Bender Mod kit works with certain JMR, JD2, and pro-tools tubing benders. This kit adapts these benders to work with an inexpensive Harbor Freight air/hydraulic ram.
In this video, we tig weld it all the way out... just because.
I mig welded one...stick welded two of them...but you know what? Tig welding was just as fast because there was zero clean up.

nothing really wrong with using the stamped end but on some jobs, traceability is a big deal and all materials must have i.d. marks. Not a big deal if you are not working in one of those shops. I wouldnt even have mentioned it except someone commented about it. There is always someone waiting to pounce on something.

Hey Jody, thanks a ton for all your vids. I just had a quick comment about feeding the stamped end of the filler rod. As a viewer, I do find it quite helpful when you do that, because I can get an estimation as to how fast you're feeding the rod in that senario. Keep up the awesome work.

Your comment/trick in using pulse welding on corner joints is interesting. Why is it that the pulse TIG helps keep the puddle from washing out the corners? That is a nice one. Thanks for the tip!
@weldingtipsandtricks

pulsing helps on outside corner joints especially on stainless steel where heat can build up too much without pulse. with stainless, its always an effort to outrun the heat because stainless steel has very low thermal conductivity so what pulsing does is to drop the amperage down on the low side to avoid heat build up but pulses a brief higher amp that melts the corners. it seems like it would average out to be the same as no pulse but it does make a difference.

those welds look amazing! thanks for the videos man. I have a friend that needed some exhaust pipe welded on his diesel truck so we mocked it up and marked everything. after I finished welding it my friend mentioned how good it was and he liked it. it was sturdy and air tight but i see the mistakes I made and will try to improve next time. he asked where did I learn to weld? I told him you taught me on youtube, so thanks man!

hey, water only circulates thru the body...not the head. so there is no problem with possible water leak

I love the joke about the stool softener. To try and get back in the corner of that part, if you miss a spot it is not going to come apart. Like you said it is the real world.

Hey Jody, I thought about buying this kit a while ago and buying a JMR bender, but then I found got trikes hydraulic design...I just finished it and the thing is ONE sweet bender when done. I have a few vids up on my channel of it in action. in the end it cost less then this kit, the ram, and a JMR. I did build the SWAG roller before this but haven't had the chance to make anything with it. I really need to pick up one of those torches! have a good source? Have a great Holiday!
