Tim at 3:14 : "Does not have..." Tim's inner monologue: "Oh crap, it DOES have a screw-down crown. Quick, think fast. I don't want to re-shoot this video." Tim: "too too much of a sporting air to it." inner monologue: "Phew, nice catch. That was close."

I'm buying this. 100%, I've done my research, the value is insanely good. Plus the bracelet is gorgeous. Black dial is the best one. Update: I bought it and I love it!!’

Can I ask about size and legibility? Are you happy with 36 mm? I've seen some issues about legibility on the black version. What do you think? I'm ready to pull the trigger.

@@nickolasjuliano3618 I owned the 39mm version and I am 46 (so slipping eyesight) and the legibility was 6/10 for me on the black dial version. Not terrible, but not the contrast that my eyes need.

I like the Jubilee bracelet and the honeycomb background of the dial along with its polished silver numerals better than the Datejust
@jasonyoung8411

After much looking and contemplation, I finally pulled the trigger on the 39mm version of this exact watch. It has grown on me more and more with wear and I really do believe it is the twenty-teens take on a Datejust. The bracelet is exceptional and the waffled dial and applied indices really give subtle excitement throughout the day as they catch the light at varying angles. I think this is a solid watch at this price range, making it a very strong competitor (in my opinion) to Tag Heuer and Oris. I am toying with the idea of posting a bit of a long-term review in the coming months as I do not see many reviews of this watch on youtube.

Just put in an order from matching 41mm and 26mm with diamonds for me and the wife. It’s going to be 3 months before she gets her watch. That’s a crazy amount of time to wait for a 1926. I did get it from the Tudor boutique.

I have had this watch for two days and so far it is amazing. I bought the 36mm for my smaller wrist and it a perfect size wearing large for a 36mm. Very thin and comfortable.Time keeping is better than my cosc watches keeping +1 sec in a two day period, increadable! The watch is complex in a soft way with its waffle dail. Build quaility is excellent for its price point. I think its a great way to dip your toes into the luxury world without breaking the bank. I have never been a fan of the snowflake hands, so this is watch is a breath of freash air from Tudor.I have the black dail watch. Maybe my only complaint is the watch is not always easy to read with the dial desighn. But that in itself kind of adds to the complexity of it all. And of course the date window being white stands out a touch. These to small negatives do not take away from the overall class and charm this watch has.1,400 dollars on the grey market is a fine deal for a watch like this...

Nice watch. The bracelet does look good, however the lack of "SWISS MADE" on the bracelet clasp, is a glaring omission. This indicates that the bracelet is not Swiss Made as with other Tudors. It may have Swiss parts or Finishing but not meet the requirements as such. I wonder about the case as well. A bit surprising for a Tudor, but I'm sure that the quality is still high. I suppose that is how they got the price low. I hope it still has the modified Top Grade ETA caliber. I purchased this watch with the silver dial/gold indexes that I prefer. I can report that the quality and workmanship is very high, especially on the bracelet. The finish of the steel is very nice, and was perfect when I got it. I cannot tell it from my other watches that I know to have Swiss Made cases and bracelets. However, after wearing it lightly for only a month, I notice that the steel seems to get minor surface scratches more easily than my other watches. I've read that some Black Bays also have this problem on their large, mirror polished sides.The polished surfaces do seem smoother and brighter than most watchesl. So I'm wondering if maybe Tudor is using the same 904L steel of their Rolex watches, or some similar type. That might account for it, as I understand that although it is more corrosion resistant and "takes a polish better" than 316L steel, it's also a tad softer! (Due to less iron and more nickel and chrome.) As far as accuracy goes, I'm averaging about +7 sec/day with .1 ms beat error, a bit off from top grade ETAs which should be within 4 sec/day. Don't want to try to adjust it though, as the caseback is very tight and needs a special tool, and the micro regulator is a bitch to adjust. While not too exciting, I have really warmed up to the styling of this watch while wearing it. It's very balanced and pleasant, and a lot better looking in person, where you can a get a better feel for its quality. It's supposed to be vintage looking, but it's hard to place the exact era, because it's a bit generic. But it's definately more 50s/60s than 1926!! It does have some nice styling cues thrown in to keep it interesting, notably, the honeycomb dial and intricate bracelet pattern. I agree with Tim that it's actually a lot like a Rolex Datejust on a Jubilee bracelet, but I'd add that it is updated with more modern proportions. It is flatter, wider and hugs the wrist better. The narrow bezel opens the dial up, giving it a larger diameter. And the bracelet is flatter and wider, and kind of combines the dressier Jubilee look with the simpler Oyster-style look for a modern, streamlined dressy appearance. Overall, it's a great first, "dressy" casual watch from a respected Swiss Luxury brand that is sturdy and versatile. It's made to be worn everyday, and with a price that you don't have to worry about it taking some knocks. Half that of some comparable ETA models like the Breitling Premier, Omega DeVille Prestige, Cartier Solo, etc. You can get the Longines Record and Baume & Mercier Clifton for about the same price as the Tudor 1926, but to me, those brands don't carry as much "Cache."

This watch is hated by Rolex purists, but it's really a fantastic, affordable rendition of an old Oyster Date! Tudor has clearly absorbed a lot of know-how from its big brother. This is an absolutely fantastic GADA watch, and beauty aside, you won't be afraid to be more daring in its daily duties, as the price point is low, but its construction leaves nothing to be desired.

Love the dial, the bracelet, though im sure very well made and comfortable, kills it for me. Looks too much like a swiss army or victorinox bracelet for my liking. If it came on a regular oyster or better yet, a true jubilee, it would be a contender for my dollars.
