I am a gastric bypass post-op patient who also happens to be a primary health care provider. After many years talking to and treating patients on their own weight loss surgery journeys, I decided to have surgery myself. On my channel I discuss my own challenges, successes and updates regarding the process.

Your journey has been so positive! Ive seen some very scary recoveries which had me worried because Im getting a tummy tuck in September (thinking of adding my arms). Your journey has given me some hope that it will be okay. Its all about mindset!

I’m so glad you are doing so great. Thank you so much for the updates, I’m wanting to do the same as you but have been so apprehensive about it. You are calming a lot of the concerns I have with your videos. Best wishes at the surgeons office and lymphatic massage would do wonders on your arms and legs. 😊

Thank you, it’s helpful to hear about your experience, especially since you’re a healthcare provider. Also good to get an idea of the incisions from surgery, etc.

Thank you for sharing Kaki. I'd love to have skin removal later down the road. I'm only five months out from RNY. I started watching your videos months before I had my surgery. I'm in Canada, so it was covered by the government for me since I met the requirements. Skin surgery is not usually covered unless there is significant problems such as rashes and ulcers, so I'm doubtful I'll ever be able to afford it,. But if I can, I would opt to get it done. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery!

My friends surgeon had her doing lymphatic massages after surgery

Glad you are doing well pain wise. Have you considered Lymphatic Drainage Massages?

Im so glad you're doing great. Next year, I'm getting a tummy tuck and my thighs. I have to wait a year from my bariatric bypass. Then I have to wait for 6 months for me to stop losing. I so want this tummy off. All this skin makes me feel ugly. My hubby is such a sweetheart. He said I couldn't be ugly ever. 😊

It’s great your doing good , I will be likely doing same thing this time next year. I’m two weeks post op sleeve

I'm glad you are doing well. I'm thinking about it and really interested in your journey. Not sure if I want to do it at my age, but maybe. Thanks for sharing.

Glad to hear that you are having limited pain now that a week has passed. Did they do any liposuction? I hear that they do sometimes on the arms. I had a diep flat surgery for breast cancer and had to have the drains for a month. Also Dr required me to use the compression garb for 6 months. I wish you the best and an easy recovery.
@dawnrega6078
I am considering this surgery but I’m nervous. It seems much more lengthy and worse then the sleeve
