Please notate that rim width will dictate offset, offset is measured from the center line of the rim. meaning if you have a 8.5" cut in half 4.25" on each side is 0 offset, a 9" wide rim cut in half is 4.5" on each side at 0 offset. That means in poke wise if you where to side by side match a 8.5" and 9" with poke a 8.5" with -12mm offset would sit the same as a 9" wide with 0mm offset or vise versa 8.5" wide 0mm offset would be a 9"wide +12mm offset.
Just the info i needed for my Tundra. I have an ARB front bushbar and a Warn 12k lb winch but will soon but upgrading my front suspension to an Old Man Emu 3.5 inch lift and needed to know what the best offset was. 25 seems to be the magical number then.
Thanks man for your video its very helpful to me im just about to start getting quote for my tundra and i dont have idea about the offset so thank you again
I have a 2015 tundra 1794 I put a 3 inch level kit on it and I want to run 20 x 9 x 20 mm offset I want to stick out about 3/4 to 1 inch tops. I have no mud flares on the vehicle, but I do have mudflaps. Anybody have an idea if that’s gonna be fine or not?
how big of tires can i put on a 2024 tundra trd pro without rubbing or modification? Can I fit 35” Nitto ridgrapplers on the stock trd pro with spacers for some poke and a Wescott designs suspension collar lift?
@threadoflife 35s will rub some but no major trimming needed. I have a 2" lift on my 23 and running 35s with a +1 offset. But depends on your wheel offset.
Hey I’ve got a question about my 00 access cab. I want to run 285/75 on my 16x8 wheels. They have about a 4 and 3/4 backspacing. I have a 2 inch lift in the front. Not sure if it will fit?
I'm getting steering wheel vibration when at 55 to 65mph. I tried rebalancing the tire plus alignment but no luck. My rims are 18x9 0 offset 285 65 tires falken at3
Hello, I have a 2000 tundra 4x4 SR5 I bought Mickey Thompson baja boss Mt's 33×12.5 ×17 I have a 3" lift what kinda set up do I need to clear everything? Thank you!
So I’ve been doing a lot of research and I haven’t been able to figure it out. I have 18x9 + 18 offset rims and am going to be doing 3.5 maxtrac spindles as well as icon Coilovers to sit around 6 1/2 to 7 inches of lift, I know with the maxtrac spindles I’ll be kicked out an inch from the stock spindles but I’m trying to figure out if I will be able to fit yoko x-at 37/13.50s with the backspacing on my current rims.
Great info man. I’m shopping for new wheels and tires. Found a seller selling their 20 in Fuel wheels with 37 off road tires. You think this would fit my 2015 Tundra without issues?
I’m trying to get 37x12.5x17s on my 2020 tundra and just can decide on offset 0 or -10. You said you’re at -5 and those tires stick out a lot more than I would like. Is this a situation where I’m going to have to get fiberglass finders to cover these tires? I don’t particularly want them to stick out. Would still like them to tuck for articulation and what not.
Where about in Texas is your company out of? Im in San Antonio area and looking to try and get a local business to help size some tires and see if they fit before buying.
If I to run 33by12.5 on my 2021 tundra with a 3/2 ready lift on a 20 inch wheel what offset so u recommend I get so I don’t rub? I would like to leave my factory mud flaps on also thank you for your help.
No offset will get you that. 35s will always rub but with a BMC and aftermarket front bumper will help and go with about 0 to +20 offset. Also go with a 11.5 wide and that will be less prone to rubbing. But keep in mind all these trucks sit different. Email me and we can go over some wheel options. Anthony@apexoff-road.com
Nice video, question I have an existing RC 6” lift on 2007 tundra 2wd. Currently running 35” x 13.50” x 20” Nitto no issue with rubbing. What will I need to do to get 37” x 13.50x 17 tires on it?
@@Apexoffroadpower really? I’m currently on a RC 6 inch with a 3 inch body and have the 37x13.5x22 that I bought it with. I want to ditch my 22’s and was about to pull the trigger on some method 17’s with 0 offset. Would I be making a huge mistake?
The more Negative the offset, the more it sticks out. I run a 35x12.50 20x12 (-44 offset), sticks out about 6” from fender. 20x10 are roughly (-24 offsets) which sticks out about 4.5” from fender. You’re 9 wides, which should be a couple inches out the fender. Mines are on a Dodge Ram, so they may differ on a Tundra.
@@modimmusic9571 yeah I stick out about an inch but would like another inch or two without rubbing if possible. On my cummins I stuck out about 2 or 3 inches with -25
I'm trying to run 37x12.50 tires on my Tundra. I also REALLY want to run 17in wheels. And I also REALLY want those Method 700 series wheels with the bead grip ridges. The problem I am having is that Method only makes those wheels in 17in with a +35 offset. If I want a +25 then I have to move up to 18 in wheels which I do not want to do for many reasons. And so far I haven't found anybody who can tell me if +35 will work or if it brings the tire in too close to the UCA. I checked it out on an online tire size calculator and it says that the 37s with a +35 offset will be 0.13in further away from the suspension than my stock tire on the stock wheel, which isn't much, but it is in the right direction. But I don't know if that's enough clearance once I go to a taller tire. I will be lifting my Tundra 3.5in with the Ironman4x4 foam cell pro kit. And yes, I know I will need to do a body mount chop and some other trimming and probably remove the sway bar. That's not a problem for me.
Hey I’ve got a set of 17” icon wheels with +25 offset with Toyo open country 2 37” tires. Pretty sure they are 13.5” wide. I’ll have to double check that though. Sitting at about a 3.25” lift. BMC and off-road front bumper for clearance. No sway bar.
@@Hoonigan_Honda94 nice. I just ordered 295/70r18 (34.2/11.6) with +18 offset. I have a 2 inch level up front. Think it’ll rub? Shop said I need BMC and bumper spacer
@@Hoonigan_Honda94 shop is probably trying to upsell me. I’ll probably just do a test fit up front to see how close they are. Even if I have 1/4 inch of clearance I’ll probably get a BMC. Wouldn’t want them to catch while offroading.
@@Apexoffroadpower I order wheels i would get soon just like your wheels brand fuel 20offset. I’m trying you to understand my pitiful English tires size 35/12/50/18
@@Apexoffroadpower it just has a 2”level but I’m running 285/65-20 right now with a few inches of clearance but the tires I have on it right now are junk and I was given a good offer on some 35x11.50R20 Nitto ridge grapplers
