So it turns out after filming the video I found out the Ethanol content was too high, ideally if it was at an approx E30 ratio we would have gotten much closer to 600WHP. Gonna fit an Ethanol Content sensor and get back on the dyno, also the 18% correction factor is just something MSL mentioned, main thing is we've got the WHP to work with.

The mk5 content is much better, much more realistic and relatable, not all of us can afford new Rs3 then just going 500hp straight away then the same with bmw, just not relatable anymore

I am blown away by the fact a little hatchback, can make more power than a stage 3 RS5 (Jamie from Officially Gassed just had his on the dyno). Mine is going in for a 200 cell sports cat, further remap, and XHP3 next month, and I am so excited :-) Obviously nowhere near yours, but it'll do me for going to work !
You don’t multiply by 1.18 you divide by 0.82. Or if you want to multiply by 18% transmission losses, it needs to be by 1.219512195121951 (100/82). You’re essentially turning a fraction into a decimal. So we’re wanting crank (100) but dyno showing whp at an ‘18% loss’ (82) hence 100/82 = 1.2195... Therefore you’re 603 crank on pump, 654.57 on E.

@@freddiejones4598 yes 1.18 is 118% but 118% of the whp number is not the same as 82% of the crank number. Let me give you a simple example. You have a 100hp (at crank) car with 50% drive train loss so whp is 50. What do you get if you times 50whp by 1.5? It certainly won’t give you 100. If you times by 1.5 you get 75hp which would suggest be a drivetrain loss of 33.3%.

@@TRHamza Ok I see. A lot of people go for a E50 blend that’s a sweetspot for the dorch st2, you can run enough boost and a lot of timing. When the tune is done you should see around 580-590whp. I owned a m140ix and what a car loved it to bits!
