I love that about 70% of this episode is dedicated to making a high-effort-low-mischief prank, and the other 30% is showing hermits with funky eyes that you do, indeed, know what you're talking about.

That deal with Tango was prety much nothing but wins for everybody. Tango has a monopoly and Wels, while he may be only making half of what he could be making on his own, will invest zero time and materials into creating/maintianing a shop. Not to mention free redstone materials for personal use with no time invested in obtaining them.

Actually, I think that since he's making 50% off of two permits, he and tango are both coming out pretty good. Wels probably more so than tango.

@@cruciformity Tango however receives something even more precious than diamonds, and that's content that he really wants to do. Higher the demand, higher the price. It's a fair deal. Also, as Wels mentioned, his other permits (the illustrious Red Glass, the wonderful Light Blue Glass, the incredibly desirable Stone, the amazing Magenta Terracotta, and last but not least Bricks). These are not good money makers at all. Could argue stone except that it's very easy to mine it with very very little effort through insta-mining. Especially if there'll be those that would mine for Diamonds, with Stone being a bonus.

1. Love that you bought Wood from Skizz's first shop. Going to make him so happy. 2. You should offer to help Tango keep the Shop stocked from his farms. You are gonna miss out on some Hermit interactions by not having a Shop experience and this way it can get you more involved in things :) Cheers!

they technically could run the redstone shop together. but really the redstone shop would partially runs itself in the furture.

Since Tango has the means to mass produce redstone materials, you will definitely make more with this deal. Instead of getting 100% of the profit from what you could sell, you'd get 50% of the profit of what Tango can sell with 2 permits. Redstone Collection #1 was more valuable as well, with more basic redstone components. Regardless on who this deal is better for, I think Tango will enjoy be able to sell everything from his mega factory, and you can enjoy making passive income to fuel your future mangrove needs :D

Hey Wels, even though Tango is going to automate and stuff, I think it would be cool to have a collab with Tango to help him build some of the farms and also to work on the shop itself. The reason I like the permits was to see new Hermits collabing. So a Tango teamup in 2 or 3 episodes to gwt the shop set up would be really cool. I really dislike monopolies and hoped the permit system would help so im happy for a mix of monopoly and collaboration

Yes! Had a similar thought, but mask the stairs on the floor under a decoration/mosaic design that triggers by tossing an item in a hidden hopper.

Your Mangrove back wall is why we REALLY need vertical slabs - so you could get 6 slab placements out of 3 planks. Not like you 'need' the thickness.

Is it expensive, yes. However, Skizz is the one doing all the grunt work of gathering the mangrove wood for everyone to fill the shop and that a pain to get. So in all aspects its kind of justified. The more lucrative items to sell are going to be the things that no one would bother to get on their own.

If you do continue the 'smuggler's outpost' theme, might I suggest including minecart tracks in some of the tunnels? If only because of how rare it is to see minecarts actually used to transport folks in Minecraft.

I watched the Iskall stream where the discussion on his tower happened, and I couldn't tell then whether Wels was playing the straight man to Iskall's trolling, or genuinely trying to help... Now I've watched Wel's point of view, I STILL don't know! He is either the most wholesomely naive, helpful chap, or the most devious double-trolling demon! I wish I knew which!

If it were me, which it is not, I'd go to two of the others trying to monopolize glass and offer them the same deal, one glass permit for me getting 50% profit, and then you've got profits from all sides.

The secret tunnel should also include a secret redstone door as well that way your storages will remain safe from plunderers that stumble upon hypno's storage, otherwise the tunnel could just be used to by pass your impenetrable walls

Mass produce Bricks with an crafter, mix in the right hype. You could coordinate a small town crossroads market with the others. It would work well with the lesser sold items in one area especially.

I'd go with some kind of tiling for the floor. Maybe a checkerboard pattern of polished diorite and deepslate. I love that combination lol. But since you got mangrove in the walls, maybe polished graphite?
