@Mile High Mechanic I'm boosting my Fa5 w/k20 i was wondering what do you do when it has a MAF sensor?

If you check out my latest video, I address that very issue and how to solve it. It's very simple.

Yeah unfortunately the autos cannot hold that much power before they break ☹️

I haven't seen anybody think of putting in a Honda 3.0L v6 vtec in one 🫤

J series engines are decent, but there really isn't very much aftermarket for them because they are constantly in the shadows of the k series. It would be an interesting swap, but in most cases it would be very impractical seeing as the k24 is a very tried and true engine platform.

Is this automatic or 5 speed? And What kind of ecu and software do you plan on using for tuning?
@TheMileHighMechanic
@TheMileHighMechanic Год назад
It is a 5-speed, and I have a Ktuner ECU that I will be using in conjunction with their provided software.

Would a k20c4 swap in with the original transmission?

Im sure they make adaptor plates somewhere if they don't automatically line up.

how much is the approximate cost for this project parts and labor thanks mile
@TheMileHighMechanic
@TheMileHighMechanic Год назад
I could not quote you on labor as I am doing this for my friend for free, but parts are just under $2250 so far I believe.

Can I turbo an auto to help me with top end speed? I have a 03 Honda Element ex awd auto. As much as I love the car, the performance is adequate for what it is, but when it comes to freeway speeds above 90 mph, the element struggles to push air out of its way, being as non aerodynamic as it is. Acceleration for me is fine merging g in town or on the freeway. I just want to hit top end speed with ease. Will the turbo be done for that then? It’s got 187,000 miles and very well maintained.
@TheMileHighMechanic
@TheMileHighMechanic Год назад
If you want a reliable daily then I would shy away from the turbo route, especially because the autos tend to not do well with more power. If you don't care and want to add power anyway, then a turbo is a great way to do that.

@@TheMileHighMechanic would an short ram intake and a performance exhaust(both from injen) with a tune help me achieve those goals?
@TheMileHighMechanic
@TheMileHighMechanic Год назад
@@markdesilva7207 Yes, although it would not be as drastic of a change, the more unrestriced air you can flow in and out of your engine will free up some power. To see any noticeable change with these mods, you would have to get it tuned.

Can I do this on a 2 wd automatic?
@TheMileHighMechanic
@TheMileHighMechanic Год назад
Yes, however, the autos don't hold power very well before they grenade themselves, so some beefing up of the transmission might be needed.

Yeah, I only disconnect it when I'm actually messing with electrical stuff, but yes, it's just me and my buddy messing around.
