Love Turks and Caicos! A few additional tips: 1. Beer is super expensive. A case of Corona might cost $70 at the store. The local beer, Turks Head, is terrific and available everywhere. Plenty of options, including an IPA, and the price is right. A fun event is to go visit theTurks Head brewery in Providenciales. Love seeing the canning line 2. Liquor is also expensive, other than the local rum. Make sure to hit the duty free store at the airport on the way down. 3. If you want to go on a snorkeling tour, book thru the hotel concierge and not the guys on the beach. 4. There is no nightlife. Which I love about the Islands. Instead, sit on the beach with the one you love and watch the most gorgeous sunsets you will see in your entire life.
@@thomashealey291 If weed is readily available I'm going to start planning my trip now.. I Don't want to go to bars and clubs I just want to smoke n drink a little bit, and lay on the beach And get sand everywhere on me, with beach smell.. ahhh, been too long
Everyone speaking of no night life were simply not interested. On my first trip there and we bumped into so much night life by recommendations from tour guides. Shisha lounge, 809 terrace, blu bar and so many more but we only went to these 3. On the same corner of 809 there were multiple places with so much music. 809 and shisha were such a good time. Felt like I was back home in NYC but it was nice open air places. We left at 1AM but the places probably close at 2 or 3. Which is more then enough considering how early we all get up in TCI the beaches can be exhausting no need to be out until 6am. Is it a party island, no. But it is a place where lively, local CARIBBEAN ppl live. Silly to think their wouldn’t be somewhere to drink, dance and smoke hookah when the sun goes down.
Great video! A couple other things to mention, the Beaches resort there on Grace bay has a really awesome water park with big waterslides etc for the kids that you can get a day-pass for if you’re not staying at the resort. Also the Fish Fry on Thursday nights is an epic party that the entire island comes out for.. not to be missed
I lived in Turks for 12 years working front desk/concierge and I can agree with this video. I would discourage drinking the water however, its great to prepare meals however please drink bottled water.
What an awesome video for sure. I have been all over the carribian , PR, Dom, etc but I have never visited the Turks. I love crystal clear turquoise water. Thanks for sharing this beautiful place. After viewing this video Colleen and I actually just put this on our "must-do" list. Thanks for sharing my friend. :).
We rented a house out on Long Bay Rd.... it was amazing. Very convenient to get anywhere we needed. The supermarkets are rather expensive as noted, but it was nice to cook and eat on our deck overlooking the ocean. I didn't find the restaurants to be that expensive honestly. When it comes to Turks Head beer, buy it at the brewery!! It's cheaper there, and you can take a fun little tour. Thanks for the video, we loved it there and hope to go back soon.
Hey it’s Wednesday!! Are you there yet? Omg I have questions regarding your covid test before leaving. We can’t get a hold of anyone. Did you take a rapid test or a PCR test? I’m leaving Sunday to come but pcr might take too long to get results back!! Please help!!!
Greetings from Montreal! We just booked Club Med Turkoise for mid April and we are really looking forward to it. You really did a great job of packing in the information. Will be watching your other T&C videos. Thanks!
@@RyanPs3gamer123 We had a very nice time. There are a number of resorts on the beach, but the Club Med feels like a little village with the best spot of beach on the strip. We were happy with the food and service. The evening entertainment was very lively. Its close enough to nearby shopping to walk the beach and get to some nice stores and restaurants. We went scuba diving with the resort dive crew, it was very nice. Well recommended.
Heading there next week for the first time. I have a day or so of dental CE, then it will be family time. My wife and I love relaxing and chill on the beach. Having said that my 18 and 12 yo daughters will be with us. Thanks for the heads up so we know what to expect.
Hey Mark, any videos coming out for recent international travel? I'm thinking about going to Rome here in October and have been looking for content on what to expect! Thanks keep up the great work
Excellent video. Very informative. I go to resorts but when there, I like doing tours to see historical places and take in the culture. I may go to the beach once or twice. So I could only go here for a day or two just to see what the place looks like. It is probably nice for people who are into water sports and diving.
Best place in the world so far! Been there exactly where u are standing. Over 20 times. Some of your pictures should be updated. You are not showing how beautiful things really are. Just saying. It’s better in person. It’s not that expensive off season. Water is amazing! You should visit again to see more beauty.
yeah, us Caribbean islands our drivers are not biking friendly, even in Dutch Antilles Curaçao where I am from people rarely use bikes outside their yards or resorts, because biking is dangerous, only Dutch people dare to use bikes on the islands and even they who are used to riding bikes in their country are hesitant to do it on the islands, so do be careful if you still decide to ride bikes on Caribbean islands busy streets.
Hi how is turks and caucos club med and tell me me about the buffets breakfast lunch and dinner thank you and when is the best time to go there thank you !
Anybody been to TCI lately? Any issues with villa break-ins, armed robberies, murders,...that type of thing since November 2022? Heard that usually it is very safe but there were some issues last year.
Great insight Wolter! Absolutely beautiful place, especially Grace Bay area on Providenciales. Unfortunately, great numbers of Haitians land on the shores of Turks and Caicos and Provo regularly, in fact, nearly 1,000 in the first 4 months of 2021. Crime has been ramping up for years. Mainly burglaries and theft, but threats and robbery by machete and gun crimes are way up. I've been twice, loved it, but I did felt anxiety, especially if the sun was setting. It is definitely not getting any better there. Grace Bay is one of the safest areas, being a tourism destination and somewhat protected, but definitely not immune to crime... like so much of this planet. Happy travels!
Can we dine at the resort restaurants in Grace Bay, if we're not a guest at the hotel? Planning on staying at an airbnb nearby, but the hotel restaurants look amazing!
At about 1:24 to 1:33 you said it all; beach, relax, repeat. There is virtually nothing else worth going there for. If you want to lay on the beach and swim or snorkel for a week or two, then go to the Turks & Caicos, but don’t expect to find much else to amuse yourself. Other than some nice beaches, there really isn’t any interesting scenery.
Providenciales is not the capital Grand Turk is the capital, however, Providenciales is the most developed island in terms of infrastructure, recreation, tourist attractions etc.
The beaches there are amazing, but the infrastructure is horrible. Terrible roads... You can tell they're still recovering from the hurricane even now.
Absolutely was true when I wrote this comment, I literally had just left TCI. two years on, they've definitely improved the roads so much, infrastructure is still a weak, but it's so much better than it was.
Unfortunately they wouldn't accept my covid negative report because it didn't have the address and specifics enough for them. I had to go home. My bags, however, went there. Hope they enjoyed it.
If the prices are more than the US, which is already ridiculously expensive, it's a no for me. I'm not going to be "relaxing" knowing my bill for everything is going to be some stupidly astronomical price.
Does anyone know if we can get rapid tests done before this trip. New requirements are that you must be tested within three days. That’s pushing it for PCR results to come back. Can you do the rapid tests?
Art Provo Providenciales Providenciales 5 fingers mile long where it's located on the island the current is going sideways to the beach realflow can you can just sit there and float and see every single the whole ways to perfect perfect snorkeling diving number one I was very lucky it was the very newest one nineteen eighty-six and it just open that club Club Med turkoise was to cut what they called it the Providenciales was the island
