In this video I show the process I used to replace a broken turn signal return signal spring.

This repair is on a 1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ turn signal return spring. The turn signal was giving me issues with not returning to the neutral position after making a turn. The return spring in this video fit well and is working great! I also show the steps for removing the steering wheel and parts to access the turn signal. Thanks for watching JeepSolid! Thanks for your video my, 1992 yj turn signal was not canceling turning left I was going to replace the whole switch till I saw your video, turns out I had one broken spring just like yours and the broken spring as laying in bottom of the column just like yours, you saved me time and money not having to replace the switch $3.29 for new springs and my labor is all it cost me. THANKS!!! 🙂👍

Dale I'm having a bit of a problem that hopefully you may be able to help me with either via video or tips.... having to replace both my signal switch and my wiper switch but am unable to remove the wiring harnesses through the column. I could just cut the plugs at the end but it doesn't help me later when I have to install the new switches. any help you could give would be great man :-)

Can you also replace the bulbs in the centre (turn indicator, shift up etc.) with LEDs?

Thanks for the video! Any tips on hooking the horn up? I have 95 YJ Sahara with the same exact steering wheel but the horn doesnt work. Any help would be great! Thanks

+zlovemakesmesweat The horn on this YJ was a little funky as well. I had to test a few areas with it apart to get it to work. It's a matter of closing the circuit for the horn to sound. Kinda vague, I know, sorry, but follow your connections. Good luck

My 93 YJ signal doesn't activate the left turn in lest you move it around then it kicks in. I got a nother one to replace it with , BUT the original one doesnt have a delay on the wipers and the new one does, can i swap it out, i heard you cant??

Great video. Just bought my first jeep and I almost t-boned a guy on my way home from the Bmv. He pulled right out in front of me expecting me to turn left because my signal didn't cancel. No dash light to remind me it was on bc the po was more worried about his amp and subs than any real Maintenence. Jeep em coming. Any help with the "idiot lights" would be great. I'm handy but learning about the jeeps for the first time. Thanks again 👍🏻. I'm a subscribed fan.

+JeepSolid lol, first thing is to fix the completely busted suspension so she's even drivable. But that signal is a close second. Where did you order the spring from? I got the part number but not where u got it. Can something like that be purchased from the local parts store?

Do you have any issues with your horn working with the grant steering wheel? Mine was working then it stuck on, and now it wont work at all. I took it apart and I do not have the white plastic tube like yours does. (93 YJ), i have a metal plunger that sticks out and I put the connector on it, but the plunger will get stuck down and not plunge up. Which I think is the problem. My left blinker also wont click off so I may need to dig deeper to get at that for now I'm just like a old person who always forgets his blinker is on :) Love the videos keep up the good work!

+Shane Vertner Yep, had an issue with the horn not working when I first bought it. Fixed the connection and works fine now. The spring is key at pushing horn back up so it doesn't stay on. Good luck!

I have not dug into the steering column on a TJ. I assume it will be different.

This is really helpful for my situation. however, I have a slightly bigger issue. I have that white piece and the turn stalk, But I am missing the piece that connects the turn stalk to the white piece. anyone know that is called or a link to buy one?

Couldn’t you just use a steering wheel puller for the recessed snap ring? Make the job a little easier for a relatively inexpensive tool.

Those that create these informative video's do a great job, yet do not list model or years of the Jeeps their covering. Please up date your title to provide better assistance. This is far more important than listing the background music and etc. ;)
